My Life
I dwell tween the buildings that caress the clouds,
But I come from the shoreline where the ocean stood proud,
Yet now it is studios restaraunts and roads,
Made for those actors and T.V. game shows,
We came for the family we missed every day,
But stayed for the friends we made on the way,
I live for the hit and the sound of the crash,
Produced when my enemy falls on his a**,
The feel of the grass under your feet,
As you rush to the captain and watch him retreat,
The battles not over till you have him down,
The spotlight like angels descending to ground,
The cheers of the croud a heavenly choir,
As we drive the score up right down to the wire,
You don't stop fighting till whistles split the air,
Like bullets so close they rustle your hair,
Sure we're a team of course we had fun,
But we don't leave the battlefield till we have won,
I don't often use words instead I use ink,
Flowing from pentip like water from a sink,
Emotions like love and anger and hate,
Fall from my mind and onto the slate,
My paper absorbs my words like a sponge,
Allowing another to take the deep plunge,
Into the ocean that I call my mind,
And maybe if lucky they just might find,
Something that they had not known before,
A thing that tells a little bit more,
About myself, like feelings dark,
Or thoughts that left a scathing mark,
Separation contemplation I've experienced and seen,
Contemplation hard and bitter separation cruel and mean,
But sudden departure and cruel remarks,
Are but half of real true art,
There are also happy thoughts,
The diamond pure outweighs the rock,
New beginnings and good friends,
That'll stand by you till bitter end,
With one thing lost another earned,
Is the lesson I have learned,
I truly hope and justly yearn,
That one day soon I will return,
To the place that I call home,
From where I was unjustly thrown,
But maybe just maybe untill then,
I'll find solice in my friends,
I sit right here but in due time,
I'll bath in corners of my mind.
