Chapter 2 (later that day from chapter 1)
Roy’s POV
Roy’s walking down the street round midnight going home form work at the Military. He stops at the corner of the street and shuts his eyes thinking bout the events earlier on in the day.
FLASH BACK
“Roy, s**t, what did we just do!”
“I’m sorry Ed if I confused you, but your mine. I at least know that.”
“Mmm ah! Ed!”
Roy snaps out of it, and continues his way down the road. Muttering words to himself as he crossed the street.
“Ed...sigh crap I miss him.” he saw the stupid grin the golden eyed boy made and he heard his sweet, but annoying, laugh. “Why do I miss him? Why do I want to be with you so much it makes me dizzy? Why not Lieutenant Hawkeye, she had put herself out there for me once...”
FLASH BACK
“Uh, sir (cough) I mean Roy” Hawkeye said blushingly.
“Yes First Lieutenant, what is it?”
“Umm, well would you like to go out to dinner with me, um Friday night?” She barely worked up the nerve to see Roy in the eye.
END (of flash back)
Roy was stunned to hear this, but he just never had that sort of feeling for her, or for anyone really. Except Ed, Ed had caught his eye. Something about the young boy made his head hurt, stomach queasy, and heart pound. He had of course declined Hawkeye’s proposal but he never knew why he had takes such an interest in Ed and not Riza instead. He remembered clear as day when he first longed to be with the older Elric brother, when the thoughts of him became wants...
FLASH BACK
“Elric your late!” Roy spat out to Ed.
“Sorry Colonel, I hitched a ride with Winry.” Winry suddenly popped in behind of Ed.
“Hey there Mustang. Sorry Ed ran off to work, so I stopped him halfway to tell him good-bye. Then I just gave him a ride here. It’s my fault he’s late, our good-bye was, uh kinda long.” she said with a wink and a blushing face.
“Bye Winry, cya tonight!” Ed gave her a quick parting kiss as she walked out the room to go home.
“So...you and Winry eh?”
“Yeah for awhile now, she moved in with me a month ago after Al got a place of his own by Teacher an everything”
Roy was never a man to pry on anyone, especially Ed. But something pulled at him when he heard that Ed was with Winry, something envious. He had thought of the blonde many times before, and was confused about his own feelings.
“So, is it serious...between the two of you?”
“I dunno, and what do you care?”
“I DON’T! Get to work, fill out this paperwork by morning,” he handed him the stack of paper lying on his desk, “or are these forms to tall and much for a pip-squeak like you?”
“Sheesh Colonel Dickweed, what crawled up your butt and died?” with that Ed stomped out of Mustang’s room and down to his office.
Roy quickly shut the door. ‘Roy what has come over you.’ he thought ‘Your not one to snap at something simple and common like THAT. What do you care if Ed is with her. Good. Maybe he’ll grow up some...ugh! Why are you acting this way?’
Roy was out of it all day after that, even at his meeting with the Fuhrer. He thought of Ed, he thought of what he said, but most of all he thought of him with Winry. He tried to wrestle the idea of them sitting on a couch holding each other so closely, so warm.
“Erg, DAMNIT Ed!” Roy shouted out loud for the whole room to hear. All the faces were pointed at him.
Havoc leaned over, “uh, Colonel are you alright?” he asked softly.
“Fine...I need some air. Please excuse me.” he said sternly as he bowed to the people. He stormed out of the room and right out of the building.
“Sigh, oh boy. I’m a mess. Ed what have you done to me? Is this the way its gonna be? Me constantly thinking of you until I cant think straight! I want you but why?” he put his hands over his face and stood there.
END
Roy came back to his senses, he realized he had stopped in the middle of the road across from the park. He went over the rest of the street to sit down at a bench under a tree. Something came to him that made him smile.
“I was harsh towards you so I could hide, or really, block the way I felt about you. Not anymore, those days are over. I’m not confuse anylonger, I know now. We were meant to be with each other, I know you feel that. I guess life, no love cant control who are brought together. They just are, like how light seems to show up even in the darkest of nights, you’re my light Ed. I guess that’s why I came at you today...” Roy said quietly to himself. “Sigh, now only if I coulda made that little speech when the person it was meant for was here” He paused for a moment. Roy looked around the empty, grim park. He was alone there, so he pondered for a moment.
“THAT’S IT!” As is someone had lit a fire under his a**, Roy sprang up and raced out through the park entrance. He crossed the road and made a left. “...you want me too, I know it!...” He made another left and then a right. He raced up the street until he saw a house alone, shining in the dim moonlight. There, on the porch, sat someone on the steps. His run slowed down to a walk as he got to the steps of the house. He looked at the boy on the porch steps.
“Ed...” he said out of breath.
The young boy looked up at him, wide eyed and wore a surprised look on his face.
“R-roy?” Ed said shocked as he got up, “What are...what are you do–“ but before Ed could finish his sentence Roy had raised his hand signaling him to stop.
He walked over to Ed and brushed the long, golden hair lingering over his face and then gentlytucked it behind his ears. He moved his face towards his, so close their lips were almost touching when Roy said.
“Tell me to stop, and I will but I know now that we were meant for each other. I’ve fallen for you Ed, I’ve fallen hard. I know what I want, what about you?”
They were still very close, and upon hearing these words Ed blushed a soft pink that could be made out even in the dim light. Ed raised his hand to touch Roy’s face and he drew him in for a kiss. One so filled with emotion that Roy never wanted to let goSo he pulled the blonde haired boy in deeper, making him stand on his toes. Their tongues moved across each others, sending pleasure down Roy’s spine. They let go of each other, breaking for air. Roy moved Ed back to oneof the columns ofthe porch, he pulled his arms up against the beam. He advanced on him pressing his chest against his. Once again, Ed pulled him in for a kiss now more hungry and passionate.
As their tongues sild over another, Roy’s hand felt up Ed’s black tank-top feeling the silky flesh underneath. They broke free of their kiss and Roy moved down Ed’s neck, kissing the soft skin. Roy’s hand pulled off Ed’s shirt and threw it on the grass next to them. Ed’s hands had been holding onto the beam that he was propped up against until Roy had stopped and pulled his arms down. He was holding Ed’s hands while he looked up at his eyes. The golden eyes that shined like a bright light burning through the darknessto help save Roy from it. He took Ed’s arms and wrapped them around his waist, he then wrapped his own around Ed taking him in. Roy rested his head on top of Ed’s kissing his forehead.
‘Ed, your are my light. You save me, I’ll never let you go.” Roy thought as he took in this sweet, tender momentWhen he released Ed he bent down and gave him one more soft kiss. And for awhile they just stood there in the dark, on the porch, in the middle of the night looking at each other. Just as if time had stopped, and they’re worries and confusion had disappeared.They wondered if this was what was meant to be for them, if this was what it was like to really care for someone.
“Ed, I need, we need to talk. I think you know that but first, “ he said with a curious look on his face, “whywere you sitting on your porch in the middle of the night like some dumbass?”
Ed’s jaw dropped. Roy just smiled and then burst out laughing. Soon, Ed’s laugh was heard with Roy’s echoing in the night.

Roy: I liked that chapter, it was so sweet.
Me: Thank-you, I thought the ending was. Man, Roy your one complicated guy.
Ed: YEAH! I know and I have to deal with the b*****d. But Chiyo-chan, I have a question. What was with all those flashbacks!
Me: Well, I thought it would be interesting to display Roy’s thoughts and feelings through important issues int the past that contributed to his way of life now in the present. Well the present fanfiction anyway. .
Roy and Ed: uhhh you did wha now?
Me: Never mind, all that matters is if the people like the story so, people you likey?
