--- Frequently Asked Questions ---
What is the difference between the mini contest and the main contest?
There really isn't one. All of the rules are the same, and any entry submitted within
the time line of the mini contest will be submitted to it, too. Really all it is, is a
chance to win an early prize in addition to whatever you might win later. This gives
people the chance to win prizes throughout the duration of the contest, and not
have to wait for the distant final deadline.
How many times can I enter?
As many times as you want. You may also win multiple times, but one entry can only
win one prize. (unless it wins a mini contest prize, when as one entry can possibly
win two or MORE prizes).
What type of art is allowed?
Any art medium is allowed as long as it is drawn by your hands. Traditionally drawn
art must be SCANNED, not photographed. Digital art, again, must be drawn. 3D
renders are not allowed. I do not hold discrimination between different mediums
and styles.
How do I submit my entry?
Post it in the thread. That is all.
Do I have a better chance of winning if I draw certain character(s)?
No.
Can I change things on your OCs?
Free artistic interpretation is allowed. However, each character does have a base
description and I would like it to be at least -loosely- referenced upon. If you would
like to express your ideas for costumes, hairstyles, and other things, you are
welcome. I simply ask that it at least recognizable as my OC.
Can I include adult themes in my entry?
Within compliance of the Gaia ToS, you may. None of the characters are underaged,
and may be drawn artistically nude, or in moderately suggestive situations. Intense
blood and gore is also allowed. However, these entries should be submitted with an
attached warning so that unsuspecting clickers do not view it accidentally. Needless
to say, entries that are pornographic or very offensive will not be allowed.
How will my entry be judged?
It will be judged based on the quality of the work, the amount of effort that appears
to be put into it, and the creativity of your own interpretation. Other things, such as
having an interesting style, your ability to use proper anatomy or aesthetically
stylized proportions, quality of colouring or lines, and even pose may come into
play as well.
