• ______ fullNAME
- Luka Anne Winnicott
• ______someLOOKS
- Luka is tall for a female, standing at nearly six feet tall. She is five feet and nine inches tall, if you want to get into exact measurements. She’s long and lean naturally, but soft. While she is nowhere near fat, the woman doesn’t have an ounce of refined or tones muscle on her. She has long limbs and a healthy glow to her average peachy skin tone, and weighs somewhere around 120 pounds. She doesn’t know exactly because it’s been ages sense the woman has stepped on a scale. Her hair is long and ends midway down her back. It’s naturally dark and is usually either left down and loose, or is tied in a lazy, often times messy pony tail when she needs it to stay out of her face. She has a long neck and high cheekbones and the round features of her face gives her a younger appearance. Luka’s eyes are a very dark, almost black shade of grey, and she most usually sports a bored expression on her face. Her curves are modest and about average for a girl her height and weight.
For clothing, Luka likes to keep things simple. It isn’t that she doesn’t like pretty clothing, because she really does. It’s just that she is realistic enough to know that, given her lifestyle, needing to carry around bags and bags of luggage for such a stupid reason as clothing doesn’t make much sense. Any usually outfit of hers will consist of a dark colored tank top with thin straps. These shirts have varying lengths, some of them being small enough to show more than they should of her stomach, while others extend far past her hips. She rarely wears anything other than jeans, though, again, the style tends to vary. Some of them look new, but there are a select few pairs that look like they got into a fight with an angry cat and lost. Because she’s so thin, Luka usually ends up wearing a belt to keep them up. She only owns one belt – a leather black one with a silver belt buckle that has a bull’s horns engraved in them. She owns on pair of steel toed boots –her preferred choice – as well as a pair of cowboy boots that she rarely wears. She’d like to keep them nice, after all.
No, she does not own a cowboy hat. Don’t even ask. Both of Luka’s earlobes are pierced twice, and the tragus on her right ear is also pierced. There is one piece of jewelry that she always wears, and that is a necklace around her neck with a pewter pendant of a single angel’s wing. She wears make up, but not so much of it that it would take her hours to get ready every morning. Luka never figured she needed much make up, anyway.
• ______ thePERSONALITY
- Luka is a very…passionate kind of person. In most occasions, she tends to be needlessly rude or indifferent towards people. It would make sense to say that she is only this way towards people that she doesn’t like, but the hitch in that is that…she doesn’t really like anyone. At least, not obviously, anyway. She’s never been good with expressing her emotions to other people, and finds it very difficult to find people she’s sincerely fond of. She’s very moody and tends to be demanding of people. Demanding of what? It doesn’t really matter. If there’s something she thinks they should be doing, she’ll tell them. If she needs something, she’ll find a way to get it for herself. The twenty year old is ridiculously spoiled, but not in a way that allows her to expect things from other people. It’s true that Luka doesn’t take no for an answer when she wants something, yes. However, rather than expecting other people to give it to her or get it for her, she simple gets it herself.
If it isn’t important to her, however, Luka is lazy and doesn’t much give a damn about what other people think about it. She does what she needs to do and has a strong sense of responsibility, but other than that, other peoples’ problems are just that – other peoples’. Luka doesn’t expect the world to bow down to her, and they certainly shouldn’t expect her to do so to them, either. She doesn’t like rules or being told what to do, and it’s that attitude that has landed her where she is now. The freedom to live as she likes and make her own decisions is what’s most important to her, and she’s not afraid to hurt other people to keep that precious freedom in-tact.
Despite the intensity of her, Luka isn’t a horrible person. When one does catch her in a good mood, you won’t find a more easy going, laid back person. She liked to tease younger people if she sees an obvious reason to, and can hold up an intelligent adult conversation just like anyone else. If someone does manage the impossible feat of becoming close to her, she’s fiercely loyal and, should she be in the right mood, may even put their needs above her own. While something like that isn’t entirely likely, it’s not all-together impossible, either. One odd quirk of hers is that she’s very defensive of other women, especially those who seem to be too weak to take care of themselves, even though that is the least likely person out of any others that she would even like. Defending the weak is cool, but actually being weak is annoying.
• ______ theSTORY
- Luka grew up in a privileged family in one of the larger islands. Her mother was a stereotypical “baby making machine” who stayed at home to care for her family. Her father was a wealthy doctor who owned his own practice. Luka’s older brother, Devin, was older than she was by six years and was your average six year old boy – loud and rowdy. They were a very quiet and respected family around their neighborhood and people were thankful to have such a good doctor to cure the sick and mend the wounded. Luka’s parents, who had hoped that their daughter would grow up to be a fine and beautiful lady, preferred tumbling and wrestling with her brother more than she did playing with dolls and going to debutant pageants. She was a sweet kid, but held a more than obvious rebellious attitude to almost nearly anyone who told her to do. Everyone had hoped this would be nothing more than an awkward phase for a child who had no sisters to do pretty girly things with. This wasn’t the case.
Despite the unexpected behavior of the girl, Luka’s life was fairly normal. Sure, people would talk about the boyish daughter of the local doctor who would spend endless hours hunting with her brother, of even just making the mile walk to her local shooting range. It wasn’t so odd for girls to be tomboys here, but it was strange for a girl like Luka to be so intrigued by dangerous weapons like guns, but she was. There was nothing she enjoyed more than target practice with her guns. The girl was never violent and, until she was much older, never aimed at people. It was just a hobby that she enjoyed, not to mention showed a natural talent for. As she grew up, Luka moved from model to model, brand to brand. Any sort of fire arm she could get her hands on, she mastered. It was an expensive hobby, but Luka’s parents doted on her and nothing was ever too much. It wasn’t until they started to talk about “what she was going to do with her life” that things turned ugly.
By the time she was sixteen, talk about her superior ability with fire arms was well known – mostly because the girl loved to show off. Sure, she didn’t go to beauty pageants, but she sure loved a good marksmen competition. The local military branch of the government approached her parents, and while they didn’t like the idea of their “delicate” daughter getting put through anything that resembled a boot camp, they did support the idea that their daughter might someday become an important government figure, which of course would have been the result of her working for them at an early age and showing excellent skill. Luka didn’t like any of that, and vocalized her opinion on the matter quite often. It wasn’t until her parents arranged for her to be put into a military program that the girl left one day. She grabbed a few of her most favorite firearms, told her family she was going to the range, and then left without a word. After that, life was hard, but it was good.
It wasn’t until she left home that Luka learned the value of being able to do things for herself. Before, all she had to do was ask and her father would buy her whatever she wanted. Now, that wouldn’t happen. There were things out there that she would have to work for, and people out there who she would need to defend herself against. The self-defense wasn’t such a problem. It was the work ethic that was difficult. It was hard to get and hold onto a job when one had an attitude problem like Luka’s, not to mention the fact that the local police were looking for her. She did technically abandon a government contract, after all. It made living in local areas around her hometown difficult, so she left. After that, Luka took whatever jobs she could and got quite used to not having much. She avoided populated areas after a while, finding the noise of large cities to be more annoying than anything.
• ______ motiveDRIVE
- Luka doesn't know anyone on the Arriva yet.
• ______ theWEAPON
- You name it, Luka can fire it with deadly accuracy and absolutely no remorse for who it hits. While she is completely capable of quickly assembling, loading, and firing large military-class weapons, she prefers small portable and much less conspicuous weapons like hand guns. Her favorite is an antique Bisley model which she never goes anywhere without. It’s always right at her hip in his leather holster unless she needs to enter an area where weapons aren’t allowed or generally not welcomed. Then she just wears more clothes and hides it under her shirt. In her room, she has several guns – all of which are properly stored and locked away in case some idiot decides to try and play with them – kept in cases and boxes. Though she’s skilled in any type of fire arm that she’s come across, Luka doesn’t personally own anything larger than a shot gun, but that’s mostly due to limited space and size issues.
As for fighting, Luka may be a good marksman but she is no brawler. While her tough and stubborn personality make it easier for her to take a hit (sense she would never admit to someone else that any punch they land actually hurts), she cannot throw one for the life of her. Close-range combat is one of Luka's biggest weaknesses. She's extremely quick on the draw so she can usually manage when she's backed into a corner, but she's useless in a fight without a firearm.
