So that was the worst case scenario.
But the idea kept on playing in her head. After all;
They had gotten pretty close over the past few weeks (right when things started to die out for them)
They always had their own little, inside jokes. Things that she was left out on. And there was always,
The Sam factor.
She was torn on what to do with him. She still liked him, she would plead guilty to anyone that'd ask, but she knew that it just wouldn't work. It didn't work the first time, so why would it work now? She tried to ignore it, but still,
Christina was taking him.
Her eyes narrowed at the thought, an upsetting frown covered her face. Christina, who used to be her best friend, before she decided to go loco on the group and leave Roxx pretty much alone, again. She knew she was just taking him to get her jealous, and in all honesty,
It was sort of working.
She closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths to calm herself.
Forget about Sam. He's a nobody, besides, you have Adam, who is ten times better.
'Sam was a better kisser though.'
An argument between herself broke out, still leaving her as confused as ever. Part of her defended Adam, a part of her wanted to go with Sam.
And then there was the part that wished that Mike was going.
But she knew the whole story with him. He just wanted her, because he knew she liked him, and knew that she had another guy.
But she still couldn't help but get butterflies, man whore or not.
"You look amazing." Her eyes shot open, she didn't even hear her door open. Chris stood behind her, hands on her shoulders. "Adam is going to flip." He grinned, Adam was practically the only boy that he approved of Roxx dating. She smiled weakly, her hand reaching over to his, taking his hand. She traced light, nervous circles in his palm.
"I'm so nervous. I don't even know if I want to go or not anymore." She admitted, looking away. Chris sat down on the bench next to her.
"Why not?" He asked, his eyes narrowing, as though he already knew the answer.
"Sam." He sighed, and it was quiet for a few moments.
"Listen, I want you to do this for me. I want you to dance with Adam, as suggestively as you want, and I want you to look over at Sam and Christina, or whoever he's dancing with, and see them. And I want you to really ask yourself what you feel, your impression. Are you really jealous, do you really still like him, or are you just making yourself think that because he's with another girl?"
Roxx bit her lip, she had no idea. This was so weird to hear from her brother, who hated Sam.
"That should help. And if it doesn't, then see if you can dance with him too. And see how things are then."
He left her room then. She sat there, watching the door, in case he might run back and say 'Just kidding, you can't even look over at him and keep things PG', but he didn't.
He just gave her permission to do whatever she wanted basically with Adam. He also gave her permission to be with Sam, at least for the night. She should have been jumping for joy, with that freedom. So excited, to imagine kissing those lips again.
But Adam's or Sam's?
She had no idea.
All she knew was that she was left as, if not more, confused as before.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sort of a follow up to Dance, where that was a possible scenario made by Roxx in her paranoia (paranoia plays a huge role in her story)
Gosh, and I thought Max's story was creepishly closely related to my real life =P
Again, all names except for Roxx(ane) and Chris(topher) made up on the spot =P
Roxx was a girl I created alongside with Max, but never really used her because it never really clicked with her as a character I liked. Anyway,
Roxx is your average teenage girl, abused by her step father, then sent to live with her alcoholic father after her mom's attempted suicide. Her dad however, could care less about Roxx and Chris, and basically treats them like just people who live in his house, if thats what you want to call it. Her brother steps up and becomes the fatherly figure, and becomes waaay to over protective of his little sister, which makes her whole strange love triangle (or square) thing even more complicated than it already is.
(BTW, the man whore was origionally a teacher =P)
so for more clarification.
Roxx dated Sam, but things didn't really work out, so she broke up with him.
Christine was her best friend, but then her friend decided that she'd rather be with the preppy, slutty, perfect white girl crowd and disowned her friends, starting nasty rumors and attempting to make their lives a living hell, all while looking like the perfect student to teachers. She uses both Sam and Mike to get Roxx jealous.
Roxxane started dating Adam, with a lot of second thoughts on the whole thing. But she choose to stick with it, because really, he hasn't done anything that would make her want to break up with him, except for her own paranoia. (She got with him right after she broke up with Sam practically)
Her paranoia starts to get worse however, when her new best friend (no name) and Adam seem to get really close over the subject of two weeks, and things start to fade between Adam and her. She thinks its because Adam got bored with her and wants something new, but can't say for sure.
Mike is Roxx's on and off again crush (not boyfriend) and has a known reputation for being a man whore. When he was the teacher, he would openly flirt with students, go for a one night deal, then pick up a new girl the next day. Now, as a sophomore (same class as Roxx) its basically the same deal, just with a more appropiete age group. Mike also, becomes a good friend of Roxx, and keeps on telling her that he wants her, especially in front of her boyfriend.
And though Roxx tries to play it cool, shes really just so close to losing her mind.
Wow that was long. Anyways, the whole Military Ball was a big inspiration for this one, plus finding old papers with pages of Roxx's story.
Doesn't this all sound like people I know though?
