Whoa. WEIRDEST dream ever last night.
So first, I was at play practice on my birthday. Except the only person there (besides my theater teacher, the Tanner) was Kat, and she was dressed like a pirate. And we were at church, in the dark.
So I start walking through the church with Kat, and it turns out it's not really a church, it's a haunted house. So we're walking, and whatnot, and I keep getting scared to DEATH, and it's all very nightmarish and freaky. But then, at the last room, everyone pops out at the same time, and while I'm screaming I realize, "Wait. These are all the cast people!" Turns out, for my birthday they decided to put together a haunted house for me. How...sweet.
So then I'm wandering around the church afterword, eating cake and ice cream with my BFF Carly. And we try to avoid the stage, because these two random people are like totally making out up there and it's weird (yes, there is a stage in my church). So then we decide to leave, so I thank everyone and we do leave.
On our walk back home (oh, and apparently now we live in a HUGE city instead of your typical suburbia), we stop by a gas station to feul up (on sugar). Carly gets a cookie, and I get this giant chocolate cupcake. But the guy smiles at me knowingly when I buy it, and charges me $150 for it, which I accidentally pay (I thought I had just given him a one and a five). So then we leave, and I smell the cupcake, and it's pretty weird. And then I realize that the guy is following us. And then I'm like, "Oh, CRAP."
Because it's a crank cupcake.
So I basically just bough a chocolatey dessert infused with a ton of drugs. Smooth, Rainey. Smooth.
So I decide to take Carly's phone, and pretend to call my uncle, who's a mob boss (don't ask), so the guy doesn't decide to jump us then and there, especially when he realizes I'm not really his drug lord buddy/contact. But then he does realize exactly that, and I realize he's been making all of these random phone calls to different people about how I'm just some kid who accidentally bought his darn cupcake, and now the entire city's network of crime bosses, drug dealers, etc. is going to be on the lookout for me. So I make a phone call for help to 911, and they decide that they're going to protect me no matter what, because apparently they've been after this muffin selling guy for a while.
Then I walk by one of thoes TV stores, look at the screens in the window, and see myself. And the announcer's saying "it's the biggest manhunt the city has every seen." And then I'm all like, "crap." So Carly (who apparently has the power to fly) says, "Come on!" And she grabs me, and then we're flying through the city randomly, and suddenly everything's dark and chaotic and everyone's after us and our stupid cupcake. There are ambulances and police cars jamming the streets, and full size airplanes flying dangerously low overhead, and helicopters, and canines, and it's all a big, freaky mess. So then I sneak into this big, expensive looking house (and it's actually my aunt's house, it turns out), and there's this big, long, confusing thing where Carly disappears and I'm running all over the house, finally ending up on the second floor balcony.
It turns out my aunt's having a party, and the guests of honor (Frita and George) are the two top criminals after me. So I do this whole thing with spitting out water from the balcony onto the floor as a sort of signal, and then suddenly my whole dream repeats from the muffin buying incident, almost exactly the same as it was before.
So there I am, once again, spitting water out over the balcony. And I feel this tap on my shoulder and it's this amazingly hot boy with short blonde hair and blue eyes and a T-shirt that's green and says "SAVE DARFUR", and I'm all like "yay!" But then his first words to me are "You idiot!", so all of my hopes and dreams for this cutie get washed down the drain.
"You have to flip the ring!" he says.
"Say whaaaaa?" I say.
"The ring!" he cries again. "Follow me!"
So he grabs me, and apparently he can fly too because then we're whizzing through the dark city streets, and we land on a bright blue balcony on a building made of mirrors. And he's all like "give me the muffin!" and I'm all like, "FINE! I hate that stupid muffin anyway!" and I give it to him. Then he starts ripping into the muffin, and in the center there's a ring.
"This ring!" he cries. "You have to flip it!" Only I can't really hear him over the sound of the decending helicopters. So he takes the ring and simply flips it over in his hand. I sqeeze my eyes shut tight. And everything goese silent, and I open my eyes, and everything is back to normal.
Because apparently whenever the ring is flipped, it takes you into an alternate universe, but when it's flipped again, you return to reality. So I'm all like "woohoo! Normality restored!"
But then Save Darfur drops the ring off the balcony. And it's twirling in midair, so we keep switching between reality and the alternate universe where legions of drug lords are after me. And I just turn to him and I'm all like, "I'm going to KILL you!"
But I couldn't, because then I woke up.
...and now I think that maybe I got a little too much sun yesterday.
Also, WHERE'S THE SIGNIFICANCE?!?! What does all of this MEAN?
I'm so lost.

Smoke and Mirrors
Lately I've kind of been slowly coming to the strange realization that my life really is bizarre...but not in big cosmic ways. It's on a much smaller scale - the tricks are all smoke and mirrors.

You're dreams are amazing. The most dramatic dream I ever had was the one where for some stupid reason my brother wanted to turn into a mermaid. (Well, merman. But oh well) But the only way he could do that was if I sacrificed him and threw him off of a cliff. Yeah. It was sad.
ps: I think this dream might even be better than the one where Carly dated all of the guys in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades, and got cheated on by all of them. And then she got cheated on by Abraham Lincoln. That was sad. Abe isn't so honest anymore.
pps: I have absolutely no idea what that dream was supposed to mean. Waaaay over my head. Try someone else.
