Last semester I took an incredible theater class, and the fist assignment we got was to write definitions of the heart, in the format "My heart is _____." They could only be a sentence or three long. And they were surprisingly hard to write. But rewarding at the same time. So. Here they are:
My heart is a sea shell. Small, pretty, stuffed with echoes.
My heart is a kaleidoscope of faces and letters.
My heart is a fallen storm cloud, raining up.
My heart is a dormant catastrophe, buried under a thousand miles of appeasing ocean.
On a different note, I suck, but we already knew that. Sorry for the two rather weighty/emo posts. It's a little much, I'll admit. I'll balance it out with some humor next time round, yeah?
Also, I'd love to hear your definitions of the heart, if you'd care to post them.
Thank you and good night/day/eon.

Smoke and Mirrors
Lately I've kind of been slowly coming to the strange realization that my life really is bizarre...but not in big cosmic ways. It's on a much smaller scale - the tricks are all smoke and mirrors.
