I listened to how all of their days have been going...then...I notice something. There are maybe...6 guys in here. I take quick glances at all of them. One of them is talking right now...I look at him and acttally listen to him. I need to get to know him, I thought.
When group is over I have 20 minutes to spare until my counseling session. I wait in my room and read a book. Im surprised they let me take a book in here, they don't let me take anything else.
The nurse comes in with the boy from group. She tells me that he will guide me to counseling. What could I say? I think I didn't say anything...if I did I just said okay or something. We walked down there and he asked me why I didn't say anything in group. I thought for a second...I didn't feel like it, I told him. He laughed, You're funny...Im glad I got paired with you. Paired? I asked him. Yeah, Im the person who will walk you to your appointments. you know, like group and study hall. Ohhhh. By that time we were there. He said that he'd be back in a half hour and before he left he gave me a hug. I was surprised...Have fun, he said. Okay, sure will. I said.
