Well, this one will be no where near as involved as H2k6's journal, m'afraid. I was really sick over Christmas, and I missed most of the event. ><
What I had time to enjoy of it, though, was pretty cool.
I still hate carolling in Towns. I'm not gonna lie there.
So I carolled in the stores, as always. It's so much easier, and more time efficient (for me, at least; I know there are some real Towns gurus out there who make it look like nothing!). All in all, the items were pretty snazzy. My favorites, though, have to be the hat, scarf, and corsage. The rest are ok, but not love like those three. heart
As for the NPCs, well...I like Halloween more when it came to the NPCs. Everyone was dressed up (except Bildebeau and Becky, who weren't really involved), and they all had something unique to say (or at least something that fit them). For Christmas, Rufus, Bildebeau, Becky, and Peyo weren't dressed up, and everyone said the same thing. As a plus, though, Becky and Bildebeau were at least included in the fun. That made me feel good. =) For those who did get Christmasy, I loved their outfits. And in all honesty, my favorites were tied between Agatha and Liam. I loved how classy Ags looked, but nothing could top Liam in a Christmas sweater. xD Good grief that was fun.
As for the Santa battle, I never did catch who won, but at last check it was 02. Shame shame, Gaians! Yeah, the Zurg have their bright points, but Santa is Santan!
I will say this, though. I loved the items the Santas gave. Well, I didn't really like the bull horns (and if he got those horns the same way Mrs. Clause got our Elftech gear last New Year's, we really need to get the Gaian PETA back in business), but I loved the hat. And both of 02's items p'wned.
Is it just me, or is that Watermeat gonna seriously inflate by next year? I hope you guys got extras. =)
Sadly, I don't have any quotes this time. (Any gift-giving I did was on the main page, and most of that was "give a gift and bump" type of stuff. Couldn't really find much coversation. =( )
As for the New Year, well...I was kinda disappointed. It didn't seem like much compared to last year (in all honesty, it seemed more user-run than anything else, despite the announcement). I still had fun in the Veraku thread, though (we made our own New Year's Party thread), and - even though it was a few days late - I did get a comic made for it.
I apologize right now to any and all Logan fans. Remember that I like him, too. He just gets seriously scapegoated there. xD
All in all, it was pretty good. I was a bit more keyed up last year, but this year was good in a different kind of way. Anyway, welcome to 2k7, Gaia.
