I stared at him in horror. “What do you mean?” I asked.
“Well, say it’s a person that’s most important to him. When he transforms one of two things will happen. He will either lose his memory of the person or the person will die. It’s a tricky process. It differs with what’s most important to that person. There are a lot of details such as time and place and such, but I won’t go into boring details.” He went on.
“O-Okay.” I stammered. By his time, the faint light blue glow was growing brighter and brighter as we swam closer to the bottom of the lake.
“You want to tell me about this monster?” I asked.
“Not really.” He answered. We swam deeper and deeper until I felt a disturbance. “You felt it, didn’t you? That disturbance is the monster.” It felt like an underwater earthquake. Something suddenly grabbed my foot. It was the same tentacle as before. I felt it drag me down. This time, though, Jason didn’t save me. I just felt like being dragged down. In the water, I had always felt more weakened, somehow. The air bubble around my head vanished, and I was left without any air. I was losing consciousness.
The only thing I heard was “Good job, Jason.”
