Behold as the Lost One speaks! ............grarg?...........Yes, people, I have been drowning in work since I got back from Cali and--damn--I feel like I'm not getting enough sleep. So I'm working at FedEx now as Quality Control and I'm still trying to make the transition from pitily job to full-time mayhem. Sometimes I get the feeling things are going right 'over my helmet.' And no, Ro, that's not because I'm blond. For the first week I literally spent 8 hours a day sitting at a computer screen completing training modules and taking tests on everything. And for the rest of the time I've been learning how to do QC, how to read the order forms, how to use the new computer system, how to run the miriad of machines, and how to fill out the correct paperwork...I'm feeling a little overwhelmed. Sad thing is, I'm actually getting the hang of it faster than the boss people thought. I already have a damn good position to start with, one that also puts me in direct line of fire if something isn't done right and on time, but the new boss people told me that basically they are going to start grooming me for management now. That means I'll have a little more to learn before all bow to me. xp Grarg. Anyway, until the intial shock wears off I think I'm going to be in Lala Land most of the time. And as soon as that wears off I'll probably get a badge slapped on me and underlings to watch. *Shudder* Well, at least I get a raise every quarter and if I continue to do as well as I have it should be a fairly significant one at that. So w00t. *Yawn* Okay, enough of that tangent. Anyway, Computer fund is well on it's way to being completed and then I can bash what's left of my old one into a billion pieces! *giggles* Or maybe throw it off a mountain. *Thinks* That was fun last time. cool Yes, I've actually thrown a computer off a mountain before. That was in High School with Jen when we filmed her fractured fairy tale Robin Hood. Lol, we put that thing through Hell and it still held together decently. And then we threw it off a mountain. I bet you can imagine what it looked like after that. ninja Anyway, with Mo' Money coming in from FedEx it shouldn't be too long before I can sit at home and chat on the Net like old times. heart And I think that's it.
