I've always been horribly picky on my sci-fi and when I first heard a sci-fi and western combined I thought...really, Joss? Since I've seen it however I think this is possibly the best series Joss Whedon has ever done. Intricate and brilliant, this right up in the realm of Stargate for me. If you are a fan of great writing, superb acting, and good 'ol American Westerns take Firefly and the follow up movie Serenity out for a spin. Here's a hint. Watch the series first. ninja
I blame Fox for destroying the chance for Joss to continue with a second season. Every good show they always screw up the episode order and confuse us all. Being confuzzled is -bad- Fox. Even their 'news' confuses me. I watch CNN. cool
