Wow, so it's been a while! Where to begin? Well, I suppose I'll just start with the important things. As some of you know, Pey's grandma collapsed while visiting friends in San Antonio on New Year's Eve. Granny's accident seemed to propel a series of events that, I will admit, be life changing.
Because Granny has a serious case of dementia, Pey flew out to pick her up and take her home to Oregon on New Year's day at 7am. That meant that we had to leave at 3am to make it to the airport and get him through security on time. I never knew how much I would miss him until the night before he left. I never thought I could spout such drivel in all seriousness. As Amary put it, "there must have been long, flowing hair and a dress that stayed on only by magic." heart ninja heart
So I sent Pey off, and he spent the next 13 hours on planes and in airports to get Granny home. Granny is doing alright and Pey took a few days to rest in Oregon before heading back here. It's strange to think that perhaps that could have been the last time I saw him. As he was making his return flight on Sunday, there was a near plane collision at the airport as he arrived in Utah. Apparently two oncoming planes were assigned to land in the same airstrip at the same time. They were making their decent and then jerked skyward to avoid colliding with the other plane. When that started happening, Pey got ready to leave me a message on my phone to tell me he loved me...
All I can say is I've never been so happy to see him when he came out the terminal.
Now that I have him here, we've been discussing our options. Granny can't live on her own anymore. And since we were thinking about moving anyway, we are going to Oregon to stay with her. We're going to take care of her and keep house while we save up enough money for the wedding.
So, it's official. We're moving in about two weeks. sweatdrop I wish we'd have some more time to say goodbye to all my friends and family but this is probably the best thing for us. So within the next few weeks I'll be very busy, but please drop me a PM if you can. And I'll give you the run down of what's happening. 3nodding
