Capt. Deep spoke with the pirate whose nose she had almost broken, and he understood that if he ever hurt a younger child then he would walk the plank and dive into Davy Jones’ locker.
Will and his crew also celebrated the victory they had achieved as far as money, and they drank their beers. Capt. Deep joined them, and they drank merrily all night until morning. They weren’t drunk, because they didn’t drink much, only enough to fill them up.
In the morning, when all the shops opened news had already spread about their pillaging last night and people were very cautious about whose ships came into port. Capt. Deep was a bit afraid of what might happen if people discovered they were pirates, but truly nothing came to them that was bad. They came upon a ship repair shop called Dennis and Bobby’s Ship Repair Shop. Capt. Deep walked in and found a man in a hat sleeping in his chair he was tall, and he had a newspaper lying across his lap.
Capt. Deep tapped his shoulder and he shot awake. “What is it you want? You know I’m sleeping!” He exclaimed.
“Calm down, it’s just some customers.” Capt. Deep smirked.
“Well, it’s a pleasure to be meeting you madam.” The man said, reaching for her hand.
Will slapped his blade on his hand sneering. “Yes I’m sure it is – I always find it grand when I meet a lady who has my heart.”
“Beggin’ your pardon sir, I wasn’t trying to offend ye.” He said. “I’m Dennis, my accomplice Bobby is in the back sawing up a new sail for a ship. What can I do for you fine folks?”
“My ship is in need of major repairs. My main mast is down and it’s broken through some of the floorboards and into my galley.” Capt. Deep said.
“Well, that’s going to cost you indeed. I’ll be needing to see the damages before I come to any complete and final decisions on me price.” Dennis’ voice was gruff, and he sounded as though he had spent a few years as a pirate. His skin was dark, and he had a number of visible scars. “I’ll go and get Bobby so he can help me determine a fair price.”
Bobby soon joined them, and the group headed out to Capt. Deep’s ship where Bobby and Dennis examined the damages and came up with a fee.
Bobby was much shorter than Dennis and everyone there, for that matter. He had a higher voice than Dennis and he had brown hair. His eyes were also brown, unlike Dennis’s green eyes. Bobby came forward with the price, and said in an abrupt manner. “The damage turns out to be less than we expected. Your fee is a mere 245 silver pieces.”
“Mere?!?!” Dojer repeated.
“Calm down, we have enough.” Capt. Deep calmed her. “We’ll pay you as soon as the repair is finished.”
“I’m afraid you have to pay before we can begin because we use the money to purchase our materials.” Bobby said.
“Well, I’ll pay as the money is needed then.” Capt. Deep assured him. “How much will you need to start off with?”
“All of it.” Bobby said.
Capt. Deep glared down at the little man and then huffed down the stairs to retrieve her money.
