In the darkness Capt. Deep quietly sang, “Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate’s life for me…” while the thought resounded in her head only these words: And so it’s begun. “…Drink up me hardies yo ho!”
Capt. Deep continued to sing a** she carefully positioned her ship, and then set her anchor by herself. She walked down to her quarters, where Will was asleep on her couch. She smiled down at him, and ran her fingers through his hair as she walked to her bed. She climbed in and lay down to sleep.
She was awakened with her first mate named Dojer, and Will. Will’s first mate named Charlie was there as well, looking up the stairs intently. “Captain, wake up!” She heard, but she heard wrong. She heard them speaking to her gently, but they were frantic. The slight nudging she thought she was feeling turned into a violent shaking. “Captain, wake up the ship is under attack!”
Capt. Deep shot up. “What are you talking about?” Capt. Deep cried, sitting up.
“It’s my father!” Will said. There’s an ambush, and I think they may be winning!” Will cried.
Capt. Deep gasped, and then there was gunfire as Charlie shot two naval men with precise accuracy. “Come on, we’ve got to go!” He said with his heavy British accent.
Dojer ran up to him, and the two ran up the stairs to fight; Dojer with her sword, and Charlie with his revolver and sword.
Capt. Deep stood up and brushed a feather from her hair from her feather pillow. She ran towards the stairs and Will followed up to the bottom of the stairs. Capt. Deep proceeded up the flight of wooden stairs, but she soon realized Will wasn’t following. She turned and spoke to him, “”Will, what’s wrong, aren’t you coming?”
“No.” Will said, sadly. “I can’t.”
“Why, are you hurt?” Capt. Deep asked.
“No, I just can’t face the enemy.” Will sounded very disappointed with himself.
“The commodore isn’t very-” Then she realized what was wrong. The commodore was Will’s father who thought that Will was a fisherman, not a pirate. Capt. Deep was the commodore’s worst enemy, and if the commodore knew that Will was a pirate he would almost die. “Oh, alright, I understand. But you’re going to have to face him eventually.”
And with that she darted up the stairs, smiling back at Will. She burst from the door in the floor leading to her room. “Alright, which one of you scallywags is first?”
