capt. deep commanded the sails be unfurled the sails to their fullest extent. she realized however, the winds were not in their favor, but in the Thunderbirds were in favor of the wind. she knew that only using the oars would use up her crews energy. the thunderbirds had them too, so it wouldnt make a ddifference. they had just narrowly made it away, when capt. deep saw that things weren't going to change. the thunderbirds would keep after them. a night passed, and the thunderbirds were back on their tail. but this time, there was no wind except for one blowing once again in the thunderbirds favor. it was only a matter of time befroe they were caught now. she found the ideal position for the rutter to be aimed, and locked it there, so she could fight without worrying about the direction of the ship. she drew her swords, and stood by the side of her ship and waited for the attack
