the crew had only her coat over the first mates back and the hat of the captain that was clingin to the wheel and must have fluttered off during the storm. they had a moment of silence in her memory, and sent a candle adrift on the sea. inscribed on the candle was "in memory of the great capt. deep". the first mate took the wheel. "hoist anchor!" she cried. "untie the sails!" the crew did as they were told. the first mate had cold, steady eyes set upon the sea. the sea which had taken her best friends life. she had to do something in honor for capt. deep. she would finish the misssion that capt. deep had woked to begin. no matter what it took she would make sure capt. deep was not forgotten.
several days passed and the first mate was still at the wheel she hadn't left that place once for all three days. she had had others bring her food to her. drink was also brought to her. then there was a loud echoing thud in the night. the first mate grabbed her sword, and cried out into the darkness "whos there?" there was silence. a dry, raspey voice that sounded waterlogged all at the same time replied "what? you dont recognize your own captain?" the first mate slid the sword back into the scabbard. capt. deep was alive. though she was invisible in the night sky, she was there and she was alive...
