Ah, the joys of having a mind that doesn't work occasionally... Earlier, I knew exactly what I was going to type. Now that I'm getting around to the actual blogging, I'm clueless as to what I was going to post. I suppose I can start with some aimless chatter.
We had district music contest today. Our jazz band got a II, that's all we know. Our choir and the vocal trio I was in did two of the most irritatingly shmaltzy songs it has ever been my misfortune to perform. The lesser of two cheeses was our vocal trio, which just repeated the phrase "donna nobis pacem" or parts thereof in combinations that make no sense in English (such as "to us" "to us" "to us" "to us" wink to an incredibly syrupy melody.
The worst was the choir song. I shall let the following verse speak for itself:
Listen (oh, listen)
Music is everywhere (Oh, listen to the music)
Hear it (don't you hear it)
Surrounding us now? (Oh, don't you hear it?)
Floating on clouds and whispering through the trees
Circling the skies and rolling on the seas
Inspiring our minds
Enriching our lives
The power of music brings joy
I mean, seriously. "Inspiring our minds, enriching our lives"?! That's like a greeting card... or a commercial... or a greeting card commercial. I ranted for a solid twenty minutes about it, and all our director said was "It's a NICE song."
Nice?!
I think she blew out her sense of taste before she became our musical... CO, if you will. Of course, she's more of a Henry Blake than our previous director, who was more of a Sherman Potter. I liked our old director better... of course I was only under her command for a year. sweatdrop

Noccy's Journal of Doom... and really bad fanfics.
Well, this is where you'll find everything you need to know about a bad fanfic author who has a boring life in a boring town. If you all bow down very nicely, I might even sneak in peeks of my humorfics...
