Man, I never realized just how much I'd missed forum roleplays until I started doing them again on Neo recently...

With all the MGS fanfiction I've been writing lately, I've gotten pretty good at staying in character as Otacon, so I've started a few roleplays, and am currently keeping two of them going over the mail system. It's interesting to note how the roleplay can be taken in so many different directions, just based on who's playing Snake.

In one, I have a guy playing Snake, and there is plenty of tactical espionage actiony stuff going on in the roleplay.

In the other, a girl is playing Snake, and it reminds me quite a bit of a very slightly OtaSune fanfic. (In fact, just like in many OtaSune fanfics, we've been using "Hal and Dave", whereas in the first roleplay, it was just "Otacon and Snake".)


The oddest thing about the roleplays, though, is that I've really been getting into it. Hal thinks about Emma, I start to get misty-eyed. It's actually kind of fascinating...
