I can't believe how sick I feel. I'm just glad I didn't feel this way during Anha's wedding. Oh that was a day to remember. We started off in the morning to go and get our hair done at the Bon Losse Acadamy and proceded to finish the packing that we started last night. Then we headed off to the Luncheon. While the food was good I have to say that the 'entertainment' was much to be desired. I was sitting with all the groomsmen and we were able to keep quiet while Wes' mom was "singing." She had the voice of a dying badger and a facial expression to match. About 1/3 into the song the power went out and she stood like a deer in the headlights and then continued to belt it. It was the most grotesque thing I've ever seen. After she was done, we waited until the conversation began around the table again, and the Maid of Honor (me) and the Groomsmen burst out laughing. I don't mean the normal laughing. It was the table-smacking hystarical kind. We all thought it was a sign from God when the power shorted that she should stop singing...apparantly she didn't get the hint. rofl When the luncheon was over, Anha and I scrambled out of there and proceded to do the last minute details and get her suitcases in the car. We went over the procession again when we reached the North Hampton House and then we set to work. It took me a good fifteen to twenty minutes to get Anha in her dress perfectly. Sheesh! That thing had so many layers! I had to arrange them one by one so that they wouldn't wrinkle. Of course the corset in the back was also fun. It was like a scene from Gone With the Wind (as Rya pointed out wink ) with Anha braced against the door while I laced her up. As much work as that dress was I still love it. ^_^ The ceremony went very well, I thought. No one tripped and that's a good thing, although I thought that I would be the most likely cadidate to eat carpet. wink Luckily enough that didn't happen, and Praise the Darkness! Wes' mom didn't sing anymore! xd Anha's little sister did though. And she's a cute little thing. She did very well for being one of her first public performances. Huggles for her. ^_^ The reception followed right after. And it was really relaxed, which I thought was a good idea, especially for Wes and Anha. One of the other Bridesmaids was playing the piano for the reception music and I got to sit with my mother for a bit while keeping an eye on the presents. Of course the time came to cut the cake and I got to see the gorgeous dragon sabre again! Cake was yummy. Not too long after that Anha had her Father dance and then her Wedding dance. After that I felt inspired and walked over to the piano and began to sing. Someone brought me a microphone and for a good half hour I sang love songs with the piano for the guest while they continued to visit. I was disappointed that I couldn't get my normal range in my dress. But apparantly my voice was well recieved. I think both Anha and Wes appreciated that small gift for their reception. Now that I think about it, I really don't give my voice too often. I think it meant something to them. Maybe I really am a Siren. Of course the intent at the reception wasn't to gather all the men and drown them in the punch bowl. wink Anyway, I wish them all the happiness! Love you guys! heart
