Okay, so I've inadvertently hooked a few other people on MH3 now. The few other people being my sister's boyfriend and a friend of mine. The boyfriend has constantly voiced the want to be able to ride the monsters and my friend is also asking me how The Guild can possibly function. These tie in nicely to the ecosystem sustainability that I've been thinking about and I've come up with a very simple answer: because its not good for The Guild. Really, think about it. If I was at all close to be right in my last journal entry The Guild can basically do whatever it wants and it'll always act in its own best interest. It would stop any species of monster from becoming eradicated or from over hunting throwing an ecosystem out of whack. If monsters were to be domesticated The Guild wouldn't have reason to hunt them anymore and would lose money. Also, because The Guild brings the Hunter's to the hunting grounds their quests take place in, the Hunters wouldn't be able to even hunt very easily without The Guild's help. So once again, the analogy of The Guild being a big sleepy bear works. Let it do what it wants and you'll be better than fine.
