Enter Zero, the Fullfiller of Prophecies
The next few days seemed to go on forever for Wolfena as each night she went to the woods and tried changing back. Each time she failed. Again she was about to give up. A week passed and Susan noticed a change in Wolfena.

“Wolfena? Wolfena?!” Susan’s voice hollared in Wolfena’s ear. The girl began poking her and waving her hands in front of her eyes. “Jenny! Something’s wrong with Wolfena!” Susan yelled out the door. “She just a damn dog, why worry?” Milo commented as he walked by heading for his room. “Milo! No bad words!” she commanded with her hands on her hips. “I don’t know Susan. Take her to the park or something, maybe she just cooped up.” Jennifer answered appearing out of the bathroom from taking her a shower. “Aunt Marge?! Can we go to the park?!” The little girl ran into the master bedroom that was just passed the living room.
“Uh? Park?” the fourty-year-old woman asked confused. “Yes I wanna take Wolfena to the park!” Susan watched Aunt Marge with pleading eyes. “Oh ok. Nothing better to do....Go get into the car! Anyone else is happy to come!” She said heading through the house toward the back door which was located on the side. “Come on Wolfena! We going to the park!” Susan cheered as she put a collar and leash on Wolfena. Wolfena didn’t budge, just laid there. “Wolfena come on!” Susan tugged the leash slightly harder. ‘Fine....I’ll go.’ Wolfena gave in and let the kid lead her toward the car.
The car was an old Ford Taurus with four doors and painted the color brick red. Inside was black cloth and cramped. It smelled of old car refreshener and empty cigerette packs were in the floor board. “Buckle up!” Aunt Marge said as she started the engine, which made a roaring sound. Wolfena laid down in the back, trying not to get slammed in the floor board. The lady’s driving wasn’t slow but surprisingly scarey. Only Wolfena showed signs of fear of this woman’s driving.
After miles they made it to the park. It was big, green and crowded. “Come on Wolfena! Lets find a good place!” Susan said pulling Wolfena’s leash. The three walked a few feet and found a empty bench. Aunt Marge sat down and lit up another cigerette. Susan took the leash off of Wolfena and petted her head. “Go and play!” The girl smiled.
‘Play? Honestly? I doubt it....’ Wolfena just layed down on the grass, staring at the people going around. “Wolfena?! Oh, I know! Freesbee!” the girl pulled out a red frissbee and put against Wolfena’s snout. Then Susan hurled it through the sky. Wolfena just watched, unmoving. The frissbee landed a few feet away, picked up by a young boy. “Wanna play?” he asked Susan. “You new here?” He was only two years older than Susan. “Hi! I would love to but I’m trying to get my doggie to play. It’s the first time I’ve been to this park, but I’m not new.” Susan giggled. “Maybe your dog just needs to warm up to people before she can play. I had a german shephard that didn’t like nobody. Taken him to the park a few times and he began to play and play. Your dog must not be used to the park yet.” The boy said. “Go on Susan! Play with the boy.” Aunt Marge cut in, looking at the boy. “Ok, take care of Wolfena for me!” She shouted behind her as she followed the little boy. “Kids these days...” Aunt Marge made a small laugh.
‘They’re under ten....they don’t know what dating or loving is.’ Wolfena stated, watching the kids play. ‘You’re a weird woman to think that, Aunt Marge.’ Wolfena let out a sigh and went back to staring off in the distance. She closed her eyes for a brief nap as she felt the warmth of the sun. Before she could drift off, a feeling came over her. A strange aura. Opening her eyes she looked around. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Just people and dogs mingeling.
The aura still stayed. Wolfena got to her feet and began to walk around, searching for the source of the aura. Finding the scent she followed it. Off to the side of the park, between some trees stood a teenaged boy around seventeen. He was leaning on a tree trunk, watching people. The aura seemed to be coming from him. The boy didn’t see Wolfena approaching.
The boy was tall around six feet or higher. He had dark brown hair and his eyes were hidden behind black shades. He wore a black T-shirt with some band name along with loose jeans that were held up by a chain belt. A long black trench coat was covering his shoulders and down to his ankles.
‘Yeah....it’s him.” Wolfena realized taking another glance at the boy. ‘I won’t let him strike.’ Wolfena creeped toward growling. The boy looked at her as to finally see her. “You’re a unusual colored dog.” He said aloud. ‘He’s not doing anything....is he waiting for a chance?’ Wolfena asked herself trying to analyze this person. “A chance for what? Ah I see....you’re a wolf.” The boy smiled. ‘Huh? Did he just hear me?’ Wolfena asked confused. “Yes I can hear you. Mind telling me which world this is?”
‘I knew you were no human! Leave, get out of this world or I’ll run you out!’ Wolfena warned growling again. “What I do?” The boy gave a confused look. “I would leave but I can’t seem to find it.....” he stopped talking as in deep thought. He then looked down and seen a collar around Wolfena’s neck. “A collar? You’re a pet?” he asked . ‘what’s it to you?” Wolfena now was revealing her fangs. “Hey! Calm down. I’m not going to hurt you.” he said putting his hands up to seize her growling. ‘What makes you think I’ll believe you! You’re not from this world and like all those others you’re a threat.’ Wolfena seized her growling but still shown her fangs.
The boy just stared at her. “I don’t know what others you may have seen, but I’m not them.” His voice was a inch colder as he defended himself. ‘They’re all the same! People just like you!’ Wolfena stepped forward. “You don’t even know me.” He said telepathically. Wolfena stopped snarling. ‘What the? How did your voice just speak?’ The boy just laughed. ‘It’s called telepathic’ He answered speaking again in telepahic.
‘You speak telepathic....’ Wolfena asked rhetorically. ‘Yes,’ He answered watching her in amusment. ‘You’re still a threat!’ she locked her eyes back on him and began her growling again. “I never said I wasn’t a threat. I just said I wasn’t a enemy.” He spoke through his mouth this time. ‘Like I believe you!’ Wolfena spat. “You already said that....more than twice.” he began to walk toward another tree. ‘Hey where are you going?’ Wolfena trailed behind still keeping her distance. “I’m looking for the portal. I lost a object of mine.....lost it here somewhere yesterday.” He answered deep in thought again.
‘Just who do you think you are? What are you people anyways?’ Wolfena stayed behind him, following his every move. “You people?” He looked back down and arched an eyebrow at the wolf. “I don’t know what they did to you, but don’t assume I’m the same.” he said giving a stern look. ‘Yeah sure, you’re just.....just....just what are you?!’ Wolfena replied back. “I’m Zero, a lycanthrope. The fulfiller of Phrophecies.” he answered. ‘Lycanthrope? Prophecies?’ Wolfena played the words in her mind. “Yea, lycanthrope. A person who can shape shift into a wolf.” Zero said. ‘I know what they are! Their part of these books I read when I was....when....in the past. When I read in the past.’ she said.
Zero watched her. Even though she couldn’t see his eyes, she felt his eyes on her. She began to growl. He finally looked away and a sad expression appeared on his face. “I’m sorry...” he whispered as he turned around to walk away. ‘Hey! Wait! Sorry for what?! Start explaining pal!’ Wolfena rushed forward and leaped in front of him, blocking his way. “Explain what?” Zero didn’t try to bypass Wolfena. ‘Who are you? What are doing here? What do you want? Why are you sorry? What did you do?” Wolfena bombarded the questions on him in one breath.
Zero let out a sigh and gave the wolf a smile. “Ok, I’ll explain if that means you’ll let me go. I have to find it.” Zero squatted down, indian-style, on the ground. “As I said I am Zero the fullfiller of Prophecies. I came here by accident. I’m searching for a object dear to me that ended up somewhere in this park. I want? Well right now I just want to find my.....my object and get back to where I’m needed.” he took a sympathetic glance at Wolfena before he began again. “I’m sorry for what happened to you. I...I can read minds. To understand what you were saying, I read yours. I’m sorry for that too. I’m not those people, I’m not. Yes I’m not from this dimension but I’m one of the few good guys.” Zero stretched as he got back to his feet. ‘How do I know you’re not lying to me? Mind-reader!’ Wolfena again growled. Zero laughed. ‘What’s funny?’ Wolfena’s eyes became narrow as she watched the laughing boy. “Nothing...I ... I’m sorry.” Zero said through his laughs. “It’s just you. A wolf in a collar. It just strucked me....the funnyness.” he explained as he began walking again. ‘I never put this collar on!’ Wolfena defended herself. Her growling was now just a hum as she remembered words from her past. ‘It’s not what you are but who you are.’ she stated in her mind. “Huh?” Zero glanced back. ‘Nothing.’ Wolfena quickly said. ‘Zero? Right?’ She asked. “Yeah.” Zero turned and waited for her next reply, noticing she stopped growling. ‘I’ll give you a chance, and won’t bug you. However I’m still keeping an eye on you!’ She said.
“A chance? Ok then....I guess.” He smiled. “You never told me your name? I explained what my motives are, but you never gave me anything about you. Don’t I deserve a explaination as well?” he asked still smiling. ‘You read my mind, wouldn’t you already know?’ She stated cruely. “It’s not the same. Not the same to hear the words from you. Just pretend I don’t know.” Wolfena gave him a curious look as to figure him out. ‘What would you like to know?’ she growled.
“Who are you? What are you doing here? What do you want?” he asked repeating her questions earlier. ‘Fine. I am Wolfena, a wolf. The little girl Susan brought me here. I want.....I wanted you to get lost, but seeing you now. I guess I want more information.’ she answered. “More info? How much info do you need?” Zero ran his hand through the back of his hair. ‘Enough for me to grasp all this.’ she glanced over at the bench and noticed Aunt Marge was still there, and Susan was still playing. Zero stared at her, thinking. “I don’t have much time. I don’t know the answers to the questions you may ask. I’ll say this. There are many and I mean MANY dimensions. The people you talked about could come from any of them. I haven’t yet explored them. Honestly this is the second time I’ve been to this one.” he said looking around as to take in the veiw. ‘Alright.’ Wolfena stated realizing he was telling the truth. A faint glimmer flashed in her eyes as she hid her sadness. Zero seen but didn’t press the issue. He just turned and left for the day.
‘A weird guy.....but something about him. What is the fullfiller of prophecies? Since that day, my life is full of this weirdness.’ Wolfena made her way back to the bench and stood next to Aunt Marge who was now ready to go. “Susan! You ready?” she called, her voice strained due to the cigerette smoke. “Coming!” She yelled back and began saying goodbye to her new friends. “I’m ready! Did you have a fun day, Wolfena?” She asked giving Wolfena a tight hug. ‘No, but I did meet someone intresting’ Wolfena replied looking back toward the trees. The boy stood at fence, which was the park’s barrior, watching her. His expression was content and seemed to be curious just as Wolfena’s.

The ride home was just as frightening as the ride toward the park. Wolfena was happy to get out of the car as they made it home. “We home!” Susan yelled as she ran toward the door with Aunt Marge behind. Wolfena looked around the area. Everything seemed to be normal. Letting out a tired sigh she too, headed inside. Jennifer was in the kitchen herself a sandwitch. Milo was in his room, music blasting. Everything seemed normal. Wolfena followed Susan in her room and laid down in her doggie bed. She watched Susan play with her dolls. ‘Lycanthrope.....I wonder.’ Wolfena thought remembering Zero’s words. ‘Tonight....I have to try again.’ she closed her eyes and drifted to sleep.
