The city is atop the trees of the rain forest and is split into two, the dark side (Zome) and the light side (Tomo).
Zome is on one group of trees that is inhabited by demons and such which is where it gets its name. Also, in Zome is a sunless place, meaning no light. The trees are alive and the water is poison. It's basically a bad place to live unless you're a demon because you are forced to live there. It's only when nightfall comes for Tomo when you get to plan your escape to Tomoalong with a few other mischievous demons because the guards seem to drift off to sleep, but be careful. If you get caught crossing the bridge you will be sent to the middle of the city.
Tomo is atop another group of trees that has regular night and day cycles along with the four seasons. It is a rather cheerful city where humans (and escaped demons that pose as humans) live peacefully except for during the night when there may be stray demon attacks. But just like on the bridge, Tomo has undercover guards all over to prevent these attacks from happening.
In between the two cities is a long rope bridge that connects them and sways ever so often when the wind blows. But don't worry about it breaking, because there is a spell on it that prevents it from breaking and dropping you a couple hundred feet to your death..
A couple hundred feet below the bridge is a lake filled with man eating fish. And to get to the city from the forest floor there is are elevators located inside the base of the trees. When you arrive in Tomo from the elevator, you will find yourself in a phone booth.
