"and that's my first reason for disliking her."

"She loves the spirit trying to kill my best friend."
"not exactly. she doesn't love him, she is addicted to the trouble he causes."
"but why?...I love my best friend, I certaintly don't want him dead."

"how do I stop her?"
"that's the problem, you don't want to stop her. You are still addicted to darkness, which means you admire your friend's darkness, and you are somewhat attracted to your friend."
