My fingers type hastily against the cold keys of the super computer within Radiant Garden's main laboratory. My master had gone ahead and stored away a secret listing of reports. Reports that he had said were better left unpublished but yet he still saved them. Ansem was no more of a hypocrite then any of them. He only veiled his wanting to know by an Outsiders holy fear.
"The coast is still clear, Xehanort," Ienzo started as he rushed into the lab through a sliding door. "Any luck?"
I shook my head weirly, before glancing over to the clock. It was nearing 3 am. Two more hours until the old fool was up again. I was running out of time, any which way I tried to turn, "Seven passwords... seven passwords... What are they.." I said under my breath as my thoughts scanned the keys, as if the answer would come jumping out at me. Hacking into Ansem's account was a simple task. He had learned that his password was his favorite type of ice cream that was only made on two worlds; Sea Salt. But hacking into the DTD mainframe where Ansem's most secret files were kept was proving to be an extremely difficult challenge. And without a fail safe, if he typed one of the pass codes incorrectly Ansem's blasted security bot would surely be alerted of his current actions.
'Seven pass codes... why even seven?' I thought to himself, raking my memory for anything that might be some clue. Something Ansem had said... perhaps not to him but to the King. 'Didn't he mention something about seven girls that held some importance?' Seven... Princesses... That must of been it. But what where their names??
Shutting my eyes tight, I tried to think. The only thing that came though were blanks. I slammed a clenched fist hard down on the desk beside me, making Ienzo jump.
"Xehanort... let's call it a day," the other started, a slight tinge of worry in his voice. But was it for my health, or him fearing the possibility I might break something? "We can work on this tomorrow."
I let a pause sink in before I exhaled. "No. I'm not going to work on this any more. We're wasting time by trying to attempt these failed hacking attempts..." I started before an idea hit me. "I'll let a program take care of that." My fingers started to type wildly before I opened a data bank in the computer's hard drive. Under Ansem's moderation abilities, literally anything could be done under his account. So what if I couldn't discover the passwords? I could create something that could!
"Xehanort?" Ienzo asked behind me, but I ignored him with my eyes locked to the screen.
"Name: MCP - Master Control Program. Bot type: Security and Data Collector. Task: Unlock DTD data bank as quickly as possible. Virus protection against Security personal and other users..." I kept at it continually until I was sure that every loop hole in the new programs data couldn't be exploited. It would rule over the computer like a shadow over the mainframe and find those passwords by any means necessary. When the enter code finally appeared on screen I executed the program and stepped back as the screen turned red. For a moment I thought I saw a pair of hollow eyes looking back at me, before the whole room went dark.
Ienzo jumped. "Xehanort what the hell did you-" he started before the lights flicked back on. I smirked to myself before going to his side and gripping him by the shoulder.
"Ienzo, have I ever told you that you worry too much?" I said with a confident smile on my face. He stared back at me, one eye through the locks of dark blue hair as if he was lost for words to say. I patted him on the shoulder, before heading for the lab exit.
"Come on. There's still work to be done tonight."
