As it rained fire from hell she looked around, neither in despair or longing. She continued walking and watched the demons pray on the innocent while the singed grieved in place. Her presence was not noted by either demon or human. She walked feeling no emotion. She watched as her world came to an end and the demons invaded.
(The demons are a race of intelligent that we did not discover, they discovered us. They appeared without notice and hid rarely ever being seen. recently they have cometary of the shadows to reek havoc in the human world.)
One demon finally approached her. He stood at least seven feet tall, reaching only the shoulders of other demons. The two stood in complete silence for a period of time until the demon spoke.
"Do you not fear me? You are just a puny human and you will die." He said this with such conviction any person should believe his word were true, but the words passed through her mind only sticking for a moment.
With this he marched off with one evil glare. And in this moment she began to study them. They did not physically harm any human, although they were all to capable to do so. Yet even as no one was harmed all the people around her cowered in fear. The demons seemed not to feed on meat or plant. The fed on the fear of those surrounding them. Soon she witnessed several demon to swoop to trap and grab their victims.
The demon who spoke earlier turned to her. In his arms was a young women. Her pale blond hair was thick with sweat, and her face was soaked with tears. Even her pale skin showed through her deep tan. The look on her face was one of pain and suffering. Her eyes screamed for her for she was to scared to speak. the demon lifted the girl till she was face to face with him. He opened his mouth as she opened hers to scream. No sound came but she looked as if she was drowning. The fear in her eyes was so strong it looked as it would burst through them.
Then the girl was still. All emotion left her body and she became limp. He through her to the ground as if she were the wrapper to a snack. Her eyes still burst with fear as if frozen. Her body looked empty and soulless yet her eyes remain full of expression. She turned and many demon where in the same process or they were throwing down a limp body.
The Demon she watched pursued her through the streets until she turned to meet him face to face. This seemed to anger him and he spoke again.
"You are too stupid even for a human. You will see me again."
As he left her emotions seemed to return as if she were waking from a dream. This made her make the decision to follow them.
And this was the greatest mistake I shall have ever made.
