[still in flashback]

"hello there, you seem to not be from here, are you lost?" he plainly asked. I realized something key: he was blind! "hey; What kind of sword do you have there? the wind isn't breaking on it like a normal one." he must have a form of Shingan "no, no, i can't see beyond mortal sight what?? but i do have a martial arts secret technique called Shingan. It it otherwise called extrasensory, heightened senses in hearing and feeling. that seems like a nice sword you have, may I hold it?"
I didn't know if i should let him, but what can a blind man really do with a sword? I Re-sheathed it and held it out, he calmly lifted it from my hand and i heard him gasp slightly. "This can't be... Kirraq?! How did you come into possession of my blade?!? His blade? You can't be... are you a seraph?" His sightless eyes turned to me, and i saw a glimpse of what I made out to be hope."Y-yes, I am, but I have never heard of another who had fallen... much more less, that the grand smith of Kirraq was a blind man." His eyes instantly changed, from hopeful to amused, he grinned from ear to ear and laughed "silly girl, is that what they are teaching you? you are so young... What really happens is whenever a seraph reaches age to get their wings, they send for a blade smith, they usually pick one from their caste. My cases are a little more special, i have only forged 4 blades, 2 were destroyed by each other during the cataclysmic wars and the other two are supposed to be in the Seraphim Royal house. I have heard that my last work, Ryuku, Morning Radiance has disappeared, and Now, Kirraq is here, wow."
He did a quick flourish, and i felt a gust of wind; That flourish, for a brief moment, looked like our character for wind. could this be the legendary blade-art? there's no way "are you surprised? my child, i am not only a blade smith, but i am a grandmaster spiritblade, like yourself. I call my talent "sight beyond sight" i can tell that you are of noble blood, you DO have your wings, or else you wouldn't have found me, and that you have awakened your gifts as a spellblade. so THATS what these senses are! if you could, i will teach you all i know in the art of spiritblade, if you can defeat me in combat by the end of two years, i will let you keep Kirraq, and tell you where Ryuku is.

I knew then that this man, is going to be my best friend, and my worst enemy for the next two years.
