Dream 2.5
This one technically came before Dream 3 but I hadn't written it down as I should, but i've since been reminded of it.
We were at my grandmother's house, we'd spent most of our time there as children and had come back for a visit, staying the night and catching up on old times. It was dark outside and i was on the couch near the front door, facing it's back to peer out the slotted window blinds behind. You see, I'd heard a sort of voice in my head just then, a raspy throated sound of a male whom had bid me cordially to look outside, I had done so and it did not take me long to make out the shadow of a figure which was inhuman standing beneath the orange glow of a streetlight just outside my grandmother's white fence.
The voice spoke again, bidding me to come out and meet it, we'd been waiting to meet He and I, from some time long forgotten and outside the world in which we now walked, this one, he was from the waking world outside the dream I was in. The realization that I was in a dream for some reason did not suprise me. I agreed to the creature's request and stepped back from the window. I wished to observed the creature for a moment before I would meet it, so, instead of stepping out the fron door just feet from me, I walked down the hall and through my grandmother's bedroom to the glass patio door, i stepped outside and my cat bunny, whom i cursed, ran outside. (she's supposed to be indoor only) my sister cary and her daughter mara came with me as I walked across the patio and around the back of the house to the ungated side yard. It' wasn't moments after I'd turned the corner to veiw the side yard that i'd realized the creature had already known I would meet it by way of the side yard. For there it stood, at the missing gate in the half dark.
It walked forward slowly and greeted me, we used no names for our names are given at birth and he and I had known each other since long before then. He was a looming beast, like a wolf crossed with a bat, walking on his hind legs his body was covered in thick fur, he had a long muzzle, dark eyes and large webbed and bat like wings, he then noticed my sister and neice had come with me. the beast proposed i join him, i did not know the task for which he was set, but i refused. this beast..was molevelant and I would not fall to it. The creature became enraged and made to attack my sister.
I reached my my hands grabbing the beast by the throat and muzzle with all my strength, the beast wrenched back it's head, part of it's throat and muzzle coming away in my hands and warm blood dashing down my wrists and arms. It staggered back, not defeated but more weary now, we took the opportunity to run, cary and I and mara, I called for bunny as we ran, whom dashed into the house before us, then my sister, than I. we shut the door quickly. The beast could not enter without permission from us. it was then we realized mara hadn't come in as well. the child stepped up to the glass door and asked to be let in, cary frantically unlocked the glass door and slid it open even as I warned her not to, there was something wrong, something very wrong with the way mara held herself and spoke. Mara walked inside and cary shut the door again, she turned to me and smiled, such an odd..bone chilling smile and I knew she'd let the beast in, this was not mara, but the beast in her skin. I awoke.

On to a sort of but not really dream related story, one time I was spending the night at a friend's house. Now, usually when I wake up somewhere that isn't my house, it'll take a few seconds of consciousness before I go, "Oh, right, slept here." However, this one time, I woke up, and I guess I was in some kind of heavy sleep daze, because I just refused to believe that I actually spent the night there. It seemed very unrealistic that I had slept there, and I sort of stumbled around his house, wondering why I was there while he was still sleeping, half expecting him to wake up and say, "Andrew? Wha.. what the hell are you doing here?" But... of course he woke up, and nothing happened, and obviously I'd spent the night there.. <.< >.> And.. nothing interesting occurred. Confusing though.
