*MOO* *CLUCK* *BUZZZ* *PFFFF*
Wow! Um, where to start? Well, I guess I spent the largest amount of time helping out on Bill's ranch. Rounding up chickens and mooers...um, cows, was the easy part. It got a lot tougher when I had to exterminate fluffballs and alarm-skeeter (I still haven't figured out what those things used to be). After a while I decided to hike up to the Zen garden for a change of scenery. I must say, it was very beautiful and serene. It would be even better though if there weren't all these animated running around! Even though the garden is just outside the city gates, the creatures here seem a lot tougher. Probably should come back after I've had a little more experience.
Someone told me about this new dojo in town. I figured I might pick up a few pointers for fighting the animated. There was this weird little monkey at the door (I guess he runs the place). anyway, he gave me a belt and showed me inside. I didn't know what in the world I was doing at first but I managed to bumble through somehow. After a few rounds of sparing I managed to get the hang of it though. The teacher even advanced me to a higher belt class. Defiantly think I'll come back
On the way back I passed by the arcade again. I was planing to play some more pinball ( I know, I'm addicted to that game) but then I saw some new machines off in a corner. I tried a few and wasn't really impressed. There was one called “cannon-man” that I really liked though. Yeh, it was pretty simple but it also had this quirky charm. The graphics were just perfect and the music was infectious too. Don't know how many quarters I wasted playing it.
Another distraction: stopped by the arena. I know the place is like, massive, but I only went in the section where they had the model rooms. Didn't stay very long but I did pick up a few ideas. Just some things to do (or not do) when I start decorating my own house.
So, I finally get to where I'm going: the university. Didn't really have time to do more than poke my head into a couple of classes. Still, I did earn a few credits. But what I was really there for was the library. I had decided last week to study the history of Gaia a little more; today I was finally able to do that. One of the first things I found were the news archives. Although they didn't go back very far' I figured it would at least be a good place to start for current events. I must say I was a bit disappointed though. Most of the articles were all about social events; with the possible exception of the incident at Gambino manor a few years back. One of the librarians saw what I was looking at and informed me that Gambino himself had donated his personal journal from that period. Naturally, I found the first hand account to be much more informative. Thank goodness for attentive librarians. I know I've already made friends among the staff and I pan on coming back much sooner next time.
Oh! one last thing: Yesterday I received very odd present from a friend of mine. Inside was a pet octopus! He's kind of a cute little guy, though he seems to like clinging to my head a bit too much. Maybe it's the shampoo?

I might use this journal to post my thoughts and observations but there's no telling how often I'll be updating it ;) [mostly in character]
