"I would have thought by now...Even you would have..." She went silent.
My face was bright red. I don't think I have ever been this angry. "No!" I shook my head angerly. "Why would you think that?" I nearly shouted.
"I mean, you are...constantly..." She thought for a moment. "I don't wanna say."
"You don't wanna say one word, but you'll tell me..." I gulped trying not to scream at her. "That you lost your virginity after your first date? I don't get that. I really don't." I sighed, staring at her. "You told me you wouldn't do anything stupid. And you did! You barely know the guy! You've known him for at least a month, right? Did you even use a..."
She was crying now. She shook her head, no.
"You didn't..." I covered my face then looked at my floor. "God. If you get... Please, no. You're only seventeen!" I hugged her tightly.
"I'm sorry. I'm so stupid... He talked me into it. I didn't want to..." She sobbed.
I lightly pushed her away. "Uhm, if you didn't want to... Why did you?" I stared at her. I was very confused.
"I don't know!" Her crying got worse.
"Calm down, please. I don't want my mom to come in thinking something bad happened." I cleared my throat. "Even though something did..." I sighed loudly and sat down on my bed. I patted the spot next to me.
She sat down, covering her mouth trying to muffle her sobs. "I'm sorry."
I started biting my finger nails. "Don't apologize. I may be mad at you... But... I don't know. I'm kinda glad you came to me though."
"Why?" She sniffled and let out a small chuckle.
"You trust me." I bit my tongue and looked up at my ceiling fan. "I like to know that you do. It makes me happy that you can tell me these kinds of things."
"You're like a mother. I swear!" She laughed.
"Great. My kid had sex." I stuck my tongue out at her and winked. "So, what was..." I cleared my throat, sounding nervous.
"Yeah?" She looked at me, wiping her eyes and smiling a bit.
"Nothing." I kicked my legs slightly up in the air and layed on my back.
"You lie!" She snickered. "You wanna know what it was like, don't you?"
My face went warm. I was blushing. "Uh, no!" I quickly sat up. "I mean..." I scratched the back of my head. "I..."
She smacked my back, laughing. "You suck at lying!"
"I know." I laughed nervously and layed back down.
"It's..." She coughed and went quiet.
"You don't wanna say, huh?"
"I do, but I don't?"
"Aw, come on. I told you about that one time..."
"But you weren't with a man."
"I know. And it was a very uncomfortable situation. That's why alot of girls scare me. Even you." I laughed.
"I scare you?"
"I was kidding about that part." I snorted.
"Hah, okay. You said it happened more than once..." She sniffed. "Was it the same friend?"
"...It was two other friends after that time."
"Wow." She paused. "Girls really like you."
"I just wish guys liked me..." I sighed. "Well, guys my age!" I groaned. "I'm sick of guys who are over twenty hitting on me..."
"You just look so much older!"
"Katrina... I look like I'm twelve sometimes."
"Only when you wear bright colors... Which you hardly do anymore." She layed down. "Why don't you anymore anyway?"
"I dress...according to my mood. I'm not that happy, so I wear dark colors."
"You better get happy soon. I'm sick of you wearing black almost all of the time. It's almost depressing... Even if it makes you look pretty... At least wear some other color!"
"Navy blue?"
"Still too dark, Jean."
"...Uhm, purple?"
"Ew! That color makes you look sick!"
"How do you know?"
"Remember that time when you went on a trip with my family and me? You had to bring something nice to wear when we went out to eat... That purple dress." She groaned. "I'm sorry, but that looked awful on you!"
I laughed. "Oh, that thing! Mom got me that! She has very bad taste."
"Only when it comes to you." She sat up. "I'm getting tired." She yawned.
"Yeah, me too. Maybe we should call it a night."
"Probably."
"When ever you stay the night, we stay up all night! When ever my other friends do... they always get tired by ten or eleven. How fun is that?"
"Your other friends suck, Jean! Are they even worth hanging out with? I mean, they are kind of mean..."
I sighed. "I don't know..." I got under the covers as she hopped off my bed.
"They're jerks..." She mumbled as she turned off the light and got into her sleeping bag.
"I heard that."
She giggled. "Sorry."
