October...what a fabulous month. Well, this wasn't an October day, though it was a cloudy afternoon with the feel of that lovely tenth month. My mind lacked any focus that day...no sun tends to make me daydream, do in large part to the fact that I am most at peace in such weather. There were mountains encompassing my whole location, and yet they seemed so distant--as distant as my thoughts. Some were topped with snow, which almost began to resemble gray hair. To be perfectly honest, I could not tell you why. Perhaps because the moutains themselves appear so dark in color--an indigo hue, if I must be so specific--and tall. They seemed so old and wise, as they overlooked the land below...no, they were watching the land below, as though provided years of guidance and wisdom. Or maybe the elevation was beginning to effect my drifting thoughts.
