My Blah Blah Blah Space
Well, incase you care, this journal will be for my writings (poems, short stories [maybe], etc.) and for my rants/boredom.
Life As a Boring Rich Girl Chap. 1
This is a story I wrote a long time ago and I'm rewriting it because I actually really liked it and figured it deserved better. It actually was a finished series, so you know what that means? I already know how it ends, but you don't. Hahahaha. I will warn you that this story is very cliché in many ways, don't whine to me because it's already set and I'm most likely not changing anything. Oh yes, and the title is subject to change.

Like everything else I post for you Gaians, this is unedited so get over whatever you want to whine about.

So We Meet Again

Picture this for me. It's a beautiful spring day, one of those warm first warm ones just out of winter. Groups of girls walking down the streets of a small town that isn't even big enough to make it on the map. A married man walking in the park across the street with his dog's leash in one hand, his wife's in the other, still smiling and as happy as they were that day three years ago when they said their I do's. Warm breezes continuously blow the freshly risen grass and gently wrestle with the trees that are trying their best to re-clothe themselves with new leaves after a long winter. Got it?

Now imagine yourself as this sixteen-year-old girl, barely 5'5". You may not be a natural genius but you work hard for those straight A's you need to get where you want to go in life. Never breaking the school rules and are a mediocre volleyball player but star of the track team. Oh, and don't forget a key choice on any guy's to-do list, even if you have more of the cute than hot factor. The long, black hair you usually have pulled back so that it stays out of your ivory face and your light, gray eyes are a sure win over anyone's heart.

Okay, now that you have that image, meet Ariana Alliston.

Sadly, unlike everyone else, Ariana was inside on this beautiful day, her schoolbag for company. She keeps her head propped up on the table, impatiently staring at her watch, tapping her foot to no beat in particular as she waits in silence for someone that she doesn't even think is coming. "He's late again," she says, the words escaping as a quiet sigh as she lazily turns her head to look at the door one last time before gathering her things and heading out.

As expected, nothing, no one, just the empty coffee shop.

With one last sigh, she slips down out of the high stool, her eyes glued to the small wrist watch as she bends down to get pick her bag up off the floor so she can start heading home. "What a waste-"

A cool breeze blowing right into her face from the door being thrown abruptly cut off her complaints open.

In place of the emptiness now stood a boy, the same age as Ariana except 5'11" with deep brown eyes and even darker brown hair. Kuhn Olivier ladies and gentleman, the guy who our lovely Ariana had been waiting for for a fully twenty-three minutes past the time he said he would actually show up. "Sorry…I'm…late," he panted, obviously winded from the mad dash he had made the rest of the way to their meeting place.

Compared to Kuhn, Ariana was tiny, but that didn't mean that she couldn't give him a run for his money. Angrily, her hands flew to her hips. "You better be sorry! I've been sitting here and waiting for you to decide to show up. You were supposed to be here at least twenty minutes ago, Kuhn. You're not supposed to keep a lady waiting, especially when she's going to help you with your chemistry homework, which you happen to be failing by the way."

"I'm really sorry, Ariana. Please, still help me study. You're the only chance I have on passing that final," he begged. By now he had caught his breath and was moving right on to sucking up, one of the few things he was a pro at.

The black haired girl let the silence between them linger a little longer. She really couldn't say no since her mother had thought it was so great that the childhood friends were finally coming together again, but she didn't want him getting away with it so easily. Too bad she didn't have much of a choice. You'd think that she would be able to find some way of punishing him with how long they had known each other. "Fine," she finally groaned, falling into a nearby chair.

Moments later the two had their review books out, ready to go. Ariana was in command now and Kuhn had to do whatever she said. At least that's how it was supposed to work out anyway.

After a short review on moles, Kuhn was bored and wanted to move onto something else, so she went to flipping through the book, trying to find something he just might have the attention span to work on. "Why have you been so busy lately anyway?" When she didn't get an immediate response, she looked up at him only to find him air-flirting with a couple of girls outside the window of the coffee shop.

As if the sound of her voice was the cure for some spell he had been put under, Kuhn quickly snapped to attention. "What were you-" He began, only to be violently cut off by a review book smacking him over the head, and let's just say that Ariana doesn't know the definition of a love tap.

Needless to say she was pleased when he grabbed the top of his head and groaned in pain. "That's for not paying attention when I'm wasting my good time to help an idiot!" Then, without another word she threw her book in her bag and stormed her way out of the shop, not even caring about the girls huddled together to cower from her. The only thing on her mind was that she had forgotten just how much she really hated Kuhn.

Just as she felt the slightest bit free, she heard a voice that made her ears want to bleed calling her from behind. "No, Ariana, wait! You can't do this to me!" It was obviously an exaggerated, over-dramatic apology, and that means she had to stop. Poor Ariana, not a bad bone in her body. Besides, she knew that he was destined to fail without her help and she didn't really want that guilt trip since he did ask her to help him.

Sighing again, which she does a lot when she's obligated to do things she'd rather not, as you can see, she turned around and said, "Hurry up. We can study at my house. There won't be any distractions for you there." And after a thank you or two, they were on their way to the edge of town and up the hill to where her family's mansion was.

Yes, a mansion. What else for a little rich girl? The house is only a small example of how rich the Alliston family just was. A swimming pool that is half indoor, half outdoor, grand gardens all around the land, four floors, not including the finished basement, a huge gate and fence around the property for security, an intercom installed at the main entrance. Yeah, that's how rich. Unfortunately in Ariana's eyes it was all a waste.

Reaching the front gate, you can see that the two of them have completely different views of the familiar building. As Ariana looks on it with embarrassment at her parents' gaudy residence, Kuhn begins to remember happy days of playing on the tire swing way out back at the edge of the woods. "I remember this old place," he says, a smile forming on her face that she just can't understand. All she can think to reply is just a simple head nod that she doubted he saw anyway.
