Well, once again, I have shown my inconsistencies when it comes to journal writing. Grad school has been absolutely wiping me over the past week or so. Too much to read! That's what I get for being an english major I guess. Nothing really is going on right now except for school. It's sad. I have no life. I thought I was doing great to dress up my gaia avi for international talk like a pirate day. That was fun at least, but I've realized that next year I'm gonna have to practise a bit first. My pirate speech was rusty this year.

I went to another family reunion this weekend, which went okay. The kids liked the snowcone machine I pulled out, as well as the fireworks. Well, most of them liked the fireworks. I had one cousin who didn't like them at all, which is odd considering I was expecting her to be the most excited about them. They were just a little too up close and personal for her. I can understand, being about the same way when I was her age. She was fine as long as she sat up on the porch instead of on the patio though, and she loved the sparklers we played with beforehand at least. I just wish I knew how to get the older group (my aunt's, uncles, and a few of my older cousins) into it as much as the kids are. The kids have no trouble staying around all day, but alot of the others are ready to leave after they eat lunch. Oh well, maybe I can figure out something before next year.
