I'm putting all of my most interesting quiz results here. If you want to get a feel for my personality, this is probably the fastest & easiest way to do it. Abortion:

I'm female, & I'm pro-choice, under specific circumstances:

1) Rape. Anyone who is raped should have a mandatory abortion, no questions asked. We don't need future criminals falling through the cracks because they "couldn't choose their fate". Bad genetics = bad people. Period.

2)Complications/health risk. If the mother's life is in danger, abort the pregnancy. It's not like it's hard to get pregnant again.

3) Birth defects. I believe that it is cruel & unusual punishment to allow a human being with a severe physical or mental disability to be born. Going through life not being able to enjoy it to its fullest because your parents were sentimental jack***es is not a consolation.

4) AIDS. This should be an easy one. Why give birth to a child, only to doom it to an early, possibly painful death? Again, cruel & unusual punishment.

I think that I've covered all possible bases. This is my opinion, & I am fully aware that I'm in the minority of cold-hearted logical people who actually care about the quality of the human race.

The Death Sentence:

I'm all for it, & the more painful, the better. From personal experience, I think that humans who murder, terrorize, psychologically torture, or otherwise hurt innocent people don't deserve mercy, because they don't show it. If you've never experienced this kind of loss, or know someone who has, then you have no right to tell me that I'm sick & twisted for wanting to shove a flaming poker up the rectum of a rapist, or cut the limbs off of someone who beat their kid. If you have lost someone dear to you, or if something happened to you, & you forgive your tormentor, then you are defective, mentally. I'm sorry, but there is no diplomatic way to put it. You fail evolutionarily speaking, because you lack the instinct for self-preservation.

Animal Experimentation:

This may surprise you, but I like animals. They're a lot easier to get along with than people, because of their nature. Therefore, I'm opposed to using animals to test products, drugs, etc. that are meant for humans. In relation to my previous point, I think a useful alternative would be using prisoners for experimentation. There are several advantages to this. First, they are, though not psychologically, human. Therefore, anything that affects them will affect us, unlike with dogs, rats, & even monkeys, whose immune systems, etc. are similar to ours but are not exact. Second, it's cheaper to use people. Why? In the U.S. prison system, a considerable amount of our tax dollars are spent feeding, clothing, & providing entertainment, that's right, CABLE T.V., access to INTERNET, & GYMS to these monsters. They don't deserve that. There is actually a significant statistical population of prisoners who commit crimes again & again, just so that they can be sent to prison, where they are cared for. People don't do that in Mexico, or any other country with enough sense to treat prisoners like prisoners. My suggestion, to use criminals as lab rats, eliminates both the cost of caring for traditional lab animals, & establishes a more useful way of utilizing prison labor. Plus, it creates fear, so there would be less violent crime over all. Studies show that even criminals, unless they are clinically insane, do in fact feel fear. In Africa, where rape is an everyday occurance, men are more likely to rape young girls, because they have a better chance of not transmitting AIDS. This proves that deterance is possible. So, what would you rather dissect - an innocent animal, or a deserving monster?


Creation vs. Evolution:

This one should be pretty obvious. I think that religion is for the unscientific mind, ergo it should not be taught in schools. I will never forget my Christian Heritage Academy Biology teacher, & what a joke her class was. There is no basis for Creationism, & although I believe in a higher power, I do not believe in filling impressionable childrens' heads full of fairytales, while passing them off as science. The Bible is a highly edited, incredibly questionable piece of literature. No-one should ever regard it as fact, & its tenets should not be heralded as such. Hard science is the only way to go, so we should leave the religion out of science class, & leave that to the theology class. If people want to learn that, let them; but do not make a mockery of good theories & hard facts by saying that teaching Creationism constitutes a science class of any kind.

Age Laws:

I'm 18. However, I feel that age does not equal maturity, or even worldliness. I am mature, & have been for as long as anyone around me can remember, but since I have no real-world experience, I am still naive.

In contrast, children that live in situations where they have to be mature at a young age due to parental neglect, etc. may be mature in some ways but not in others. Taking care of younger siblings & cleaning the house, but having unprotected sex is a good real-world example.

Age isn't everything. I think that it oversimplifies a lot, personally.

I like to think that taking everyone case-by-case as an individual would be best. However, this is too labor-intensive. So, we resort to labeling people based on broad parameters to which they may or may not belong.

As an example, I have been drinking alcohol since I was 11 or 12. This would technically be child abuse, but my parents supervised me in order to teach me, & make sure I was safe. I have never been dangerously drunk, nor have I ever done anything regrettable while drunk, unlike the majority of people who, on their 21st birthday, get 3 sheets to the wind because they have no resistance, & end up dying from alcohol poisoning or car crashes, or even drowning in their own vomit. I think that responsibility is key here. Someone who isn't responsible at 21 is worse off drinking than someone who is 14 who is responsible.

First, I must know what I'll be translating: a page of a manga or doujinshi, a picture with writing, or song lyrics. Depending on whether it is in kanji, just hiragana, or Romanji, the price will vary. It's easier for me to translate Japanese characters than if I just have the Romanji. Ergo, pieces with kanji cost less than romanji-only stuff. Also, you the client must take responsibility that the image is as clear as possible; failure to do this may result in incomplete translations because I cannot read the kanji. Please note that I do not translate any hentai/yaoi/yuri/etc. images.
Now, for prices. For one page of a doujinshi or manga, I charge roughly 900 gold. For a small picture with very little writing on it, 500 gold. For song lyrics in romanji, 999 gold. For special cases that do not fit into the above categories, please send me your piece to be translated & I will decide upon a price. I request that you kindly send me the trade of gold before I PM your translation back to you. Also, if you would like English translated into Japanese, I can do that also. Prices vary depending on length, whether or not you want it in Japanese or Romanji, etc. I also do Guild or Site Banners in Kanji, Hiragana/Katakana, or Romanji. The same rules apply; please remember to specify color schemes, etc. also for these. Today, out of the blue, they announced that there will be no person-to-person contact while sparring, except in tournaments & special sparring classes, both of which I don't go to. Not even light contact anymore. No contact. Why? Too many lawsuits because of stupid, weak, untrained people getting hit in the face & getting orbital fractures, etc. That was their excuse. Then they lined us up, told us not to use contact, & expected us to spar. I didn't. My poor partner, a nice, older blackbelt, asked me if I was hurt. I said, "No, that's the point". I was hurt. Very deeply. This was my most immature public moment. I made a fool of myself crying, & my mother told me to go wait outside while she got my stuff together. As I waited, I trying to calm down. I looked at the pine tree outside the school, & thought it ironic, because Songahm, as we are taught, means 'pine tree rock', symbolizing a strong foundation & deep roots. Then my mother came outside, with my Master in tow. He said he wanted to talk about why I was so upset. I told him that I was overly emotional, & I wouldn't be able to correctly explain myself. I apologized profusely, as is my nature. I just wanted to leave. I was forced to stand there, stupidly, incoherently trying to argue my case. I understand lawsuits, & the necessity of money, but in my mind, that doesn't change principal. In the end, he called me rude, implied that I was selfish & naive, & I finally left. My mother wants to call him & make a big deal about it, as is her nature, but I'm begging her not to. I just don't want to return. I can't go back. My spirit, & the spirit of martial arts, has been quelled. My pride won't allow me to crawl back to that wretched school, full of instructors who belittle me, & students who hate or resent me. My mother says that I have to go back, because she already paid for it. I hope that her daughter means more to her than her money, if just this once. There's no point in going back. I tried my hardest to put up with it all, but it was just too much. The first problem was when they made chest protectors mandatory. The next problem was when they forbid high ranks to hit color belts, even lightly. The next problem was when they forced me to retire my belt, for a factory belt with no memories or pride attached to it. The last straw was this. The over-arching problem was the lack of discipline, the constant "dumbing it down" for the lazy, undisciplined masses. I include myself in this aggregate, because I too am worthless. I don't deserve to be a blackbelt, a leader, or even a martial artist. I'm unskilled, rude, naive, & horribly old-fashioned. I have an obsolete mindset. I would have done better in an earlier age, before ridiculous rules & frivolous lawsuits galore. I feel so helpless...& I feel like even less of a warrior, sitting here sobbing like a child.

crying My Taekwondo belt, my black belt, that I EARNED at my red-black testing! The one I earned by flying over not 3, but 4 human obstacles to break a board. The one I've had through 1st, 2nd, & now 3rd degree black belt. They're making me forcibly retire it now that I'm in Leadership, for some new, shiny, not-faded belt with my name & rank on it in Korean & English. I hate it. It's not even broken in, & I don't like Korean culture at all....if it were Japanese, I still would be upset, because this is MY BELT. It has sentimental value. A lot of memories are attached to that belt. All the training, all the sweat, all the dust from the floor of the Dojang are caked into that belt. I think I'm gonna frame the thing. crying

I got a whole new uniform for Leadership; it's ultra-factory-starched, so I have to wash it a few times before it'll become comfortable. It has a red Leadership Collar, & no Victory patch on it. They said I could sew on my blue & gold V patch, but I dunno......The one good thing is that this uniform actually fits me; I no longer have to roll the sleeves under because they're too long......why are the uniform tops so long-sleeved anyway? It's not like we're orangutangs....... All in all though, I am going to miss my old belt. I'll have to break this one in, & somehow get used to it. Plus, I need to sew my 3rd degree patch on it. ..sighs.. Saraba, boku no aibou. Ii nakama datta. Goodbye my friend & faithful companion. crying

Alright you lazy, bloated, Post-Thanksgiving piles o' lard, sit up straight & pay attention! scream Now then, today we're going over the finer points of exercise, that all-important way of moving our complacent bodies away from corpulence & towards a hot, toned, sleek body! (Are you motivated yet? 3nodding ) I'm gonna hit the ground running & just launch into a sample exercise plan. So without further ado, here's what to do:

* Two words: Constant motion. Constant movement, no matter how slight, helps keep muscles from atrefying (SP?). Pace(like me), drum your fingers, jiggle your legs while seated, do whatever. Just keep moving.

* Try to find a sport you honestly like & can get into (Fooseball & such do not qualify). Try to go at least 4 times a week, more if possible. Martial Arts are a good choice, in my humble opinion. Other hi-octane stuff, like skydiving & bungee-jumping, may cause you to lose excessive excretive weight on the way down, if you're a normal person. xd I'd never personally recommend them, but I have noticed that there are very few fat people in such sports.

*Always stretch before exercising. Light warm-up stretches, like toe-touches, arm rolling, etc. prevent injury or overextension during actual exercise. My basic regimen is arm-stretching, leg-stretching, back-stretching, & hand-stretching. If you want details on these, please feel free to PM me.

*Start slow & work your way up, if at all possible. After you're properly warmed up, cardio work is a good idea. In this circumstance remember that sweat = good, no sweat = bad. You're not working hard enough if you're not feeling it.

*Cool down with stretching also. This gradually slows your heart rate back to normal, & generally calms you down. At this point, Tai Chi is a wonderful balance to other martial arts.
