Shortly after being told I was going to be fired I received a message on OKCupid out of the blue from a girl. One thing led to another and within a week we had our first date and shortly after a 2nd and 3rd one. We shared so much and we talked a lot and we had so much in common even though our backgrounds couldn't be more different if we had tried to. I asked her to be my girlfriend after this third date and even though things had been progressing incredibly fast, we both felt it was the right thing to do.
She's a gorgeous half German half Californian girl who moved to Holland because she just fell in love with it after studying here for her Masters. We still can't get over the fact how lucky we are to have met up. We met each other's parents and they all like us and she also met some family members of me and I met her friends and they all like us too. My best friends even high-fived me. blaugh
We spent quite a bit of time together and we like to watch movies, do DIY projects and we're training to walk the Honolulu marathon in December. I feel very blessed with her, especially because this came out of left field at a time when my job was a PITA and I was worried about a lot of stuff.
I'm currently unemployed and it's cold here, but I'm sure things will brighten up sooner rather than later.
