The japanese believe that if you folded 1000 cranes, you'd get one wish.
After it's complete, they rarelly get thier wish because at one point, they accidentically wish for thier fingers to stop hurting.
It did, a day or two after they stopped folding.
This the reason (well i think it is) that they ask for such an impossible number of cranes.
You'd think one wold be enough!
The reason behind this? Because I just recently attempted to fold 1000 cranes.
Definitly not worth the effort.
