Everlasting
It comes on swift wings
I try to hide
Hoping it will leave me be
It dives from the crimson sky
The wings of black night cover my body
I fill my soul being ripped away
A laugh in my ear
The words I hear, "Your NOTHING!"
I try to react in some way
A tear, a scream, nothing comes
I feel nothing, I am nothing
As I give in, it laughs more
"Worthless!" The voice is enjoying my pain
It rips at my chest
Revealing my heart, still it beats strong
My eyes water as the pain surges through my body
Another laugh
I fall limp, it catches me in its cold dead arms
"Your easy." The laughter roars loudly
I simply look at my killer, my savior, "I'm nothing."
The words were strangely calm, it looked at me with entertaining eyes
"I want to be nothing." I closed my eyes
The black night wings drew me closer
"Then die!" The voice was mean, uncaring
As I let go of my last breath, I heard laughter
"No one to save you?" It roar with pleasure
I did not answer
I felt a cold dead hand around my warm beating heart
"Go to God." The laughter was endless
It gripped my heart and made it beat no more
I lay motionless in its arms
It removed the black night wings that held me up
I fell to the ground
It turned to me with a wicked smile
"Soulless." The black night wings turned to bone with flesh hanging off of some parts
It wasn't me, It was my soul
I saw a pale bony hand grab what was left of my existence and smashed it into tiny pieces that flew on the wind without a care
"You are nothing." It grinned and disappeared
It had won without a fight
I had no thought there were going to be others it prayed on
I was not the last
Though, I thought death was my escape
Yet, I still feel the pain...(c)
