Im graduating highschool in 2010... Art is a passion of mine and i was thinking of going to Pratt For fine arts. HOwever, i need to take the SAT(which i missed out on this year*im a junior*),and for undergraduates to qualify to get in it depends on your GPA, SAT Scores and portfolio.

the GPA im not worried about and the portfolio might be difficult, but if got it down for what i need to get done... it's just the SAT I need...

Also my mother is complaining and on my case how " well what do you want to do that involves art"... and im thinking a photographer, artist for a magazine,book covers, musician album covers, whatever anyone wants me to do if i can do it...
I could also go to college to be an art teacher....but that involves learning art history and things... but with fine arts at Pratt, it's right up my ally. But then again my mom is like "well what about message therapy school?"... that will always be there... but she says that they give scholarships... and it's hard to decide... message therapy will always be there...so will Pratt... but i really want this. Numerous people say i have talent,and my mom is talking like art isn't important, and will basically get me nowhere, and it isn't a decent job. But say i do a painting, or i could design a mural in a shop/building thing, or sculpture,or take photographs, and they catch the eye of someone important, thats big money... it's good work and it's something i love...

so i don't know what to do... go to message therapy first so i have a scholarship to lean on(also Pratt has a ton of financial aid). OR say ******** it and go to Pratt(assuming i can get in) first?
