Today is a day, that I will remember
The luminous walk of silence for people who have or died of cancer.
I was there and I walked.
My mission:
In honor of those people I would not let my candle go out, not even once.
And that's what I did.
I wanted my friend's mother to blow it out.
She has breast cancer.
But she had already left.
so I wanted to find another cancer survivor.
I looked around.
All the people who were servivors had purple shirts on.
I didn't see any purple shirts.
But.
After a while out of the corner of my eye I saw one.
I walked over to her.
The wax staining my pants and hands and my candle was almost gone, but somehow the wick still burned.
I walked closer and saw that it was a tall blond girl that was about my age.
I asked her to blow out my candle telling her that I wanted a survivor to blow it out.
With a smile,
she did.
My mission was complete.
After my mom picked me up.
We drove around to make my baby sister fall asleep.
It worked on me too.
Tell me Diana, will you remember?
Love,
~ Lady Katari
