So do you looove spending time with your partner? Loved one? A person you care about more than the world?
To what degree does your love go?
So a little bit into my past.
I was the lover that wanted to spend every minute with my partner whoever it may have been at the time. I wanted to cuddle with them, kiss them in public, and hold their hand.
I'm also the one that asked questions all the time of who they are talking to. Where they are going. What they were doing. And if I could join them.
I was also the one that I wouldn't go ANYWHERE that my partner wasn't going. I was sooo determined that Love was spending every minute with my partner that I couldn't function without them,
Now, 5 years later, my partners go on a trip without me, and what do I do?
Write my journal entries. Play video games. Write some erotic stories.
But I don't stop my life because they aren't there anymore.
You know what the terminology for that is? Co-Dependency. The need to have the person they are in a relationship with by there side or be by their side at all time. That was me. I was severely dependent on my partner at the time. I couldn't live without being with them. It was severe.
Now, I'm to the point where I live my own life. I love spending time with my partners, but I can deal with not having to be by their side all the time. I've learned to not feel the need to be with them 24/7.
Feeling the want to be with the person you care about is not wrong.
But living your life having to be attached to the person, and missing out on your own happiness, then you're being too dependent. And you need to learn how to be happy with yourself.
Be happy with yourself. And Be happy with being alone.
Love to you all.
