Hello Gaia,
Today's entry will contain lots and lots of bitching.
The following is a list of all the things wrong with my current job:
1. The System: Crashes frequently, times out, and when it does work, its still useless. By useless I mean the system is designed to assist an employee in doing their job but it all feels so juvenile. The design is crap and it feels like I click buttons which result in the same nonsense like "All is well... you are on your own... make up s**t to say/troubleshoot... have you tried turning it off and on again?....stop clicking me... wrong one, try again... *CRASH*
2. Notes A less than 200 character limit for notes is ridiculous; I end up spending a good 5 minutes trying to figure out how to shorten/abbreviate my words and sentences so they can fit. Many times I end up having to cut out the important information and it all ends up reading like childish nonsense.
3. Communication I thought my last job was bad and that the bar just couldn't be set any lower. I stand corrected as this current job has just put that bar underground. I have been working with this new department for about three weeks now and only just TODAY was assigned my seat and was able to see who my supervisor is. I had it in my schedule to have a meeting with him but it ended up being cancelled as he was just too busy with company related garbage. Absolutely no communication or interaction is going on between employees and management. I am winging it at every turn.
4. Line Adherence Bullshit system that pretty much boils down to me raising my hand in order to ask permission to go on break/lunch. The way it works is if I miss my break/lunch by five minutes, I have to ask permission to take them. If I'm denied, I have to wait 30 minutes before I can ask again and be allowed to go.. once again, only if it is approved.
5. The company comes first... ******** you and the customers. That's what it feels like I'm being told. I'm just a nobody in this company.. and at most I'm a number. This company also emphasizes company propaganda versus a genuine customer service experience. Also they don't allow you to remain silent on the call with the customer for more than 20seconds!!! 20SECONDS! Are you shitting me???
6. Call after call... after call You don't need social interaction at work right? You are a machine that can just wrok straight without taking a breather.
