Don Mario was having a fit in his office. Papers and other objects were being thrown everywhere. After a while, Luigi, the Consigliere and brother of the Don, walked into the office where he saw Wario, the underboss, dead on the floor. The Don had finished venting and was now staring at the security cameras to see who wasn’t there. “Where’s our Capo?” Luigi sat down and lit a cigarette. “He’s trying to break into the Shylock business.” He pointed at the dead Wario. “One of his crew came heavy, clipped the underboss, and left. I’m also pretty sure that there’s a hit on me.” Don Mario took a seat and tried to subdue his anger. “How’s that possible? He was just a Cugine. This couldn’t have been done by one soldier. Our administration is too well guarded.” He took a few more seconds to calm himself again. Don Mario is known for his anger issues. There was a time when a criminal known as “Bowser” kidnapped Don Mario’s girl, Peach. The Don ended up torching the criminal with his favorite flamethrower he dubbed “Fire Flower”. When the Don regained his composure, he simply asked, “Who’s the rat?” Luigi cleared his throat and said, “No one. We’ve made sure that every member of the family has stuck with the Omertá. No one in the family is a rat.” To Luigi’s surprise, instead of going off, the Don simply sighed out of disappointment. Luigi could tell that the Don figured they just didn’t try hard enough. Luigi let it slide, though. Luigi has always been an expert at having a great “Poker Face”. “Let me guess, this wise guy is on the lam in fear of my wrath.” For the first time of the day, the Don seemed to be full of himself. “No.” That one word broke the Don’s confidence. “No?” Luigi repeated “No.” He went on, saying, “He thinks that with the administration getting a message job through the eye of the underboss, this thing of ours will be out of whack.” Once Luigi finished his explanation, Don Mario stood up and slammed his hands on the desk. “Who does this scum think he is?! I refuse to let one rebelling outfit of MY family ruin what I spent so long to create!” Once again, his anger peeked and declined. He calmly sat down into his chair and said, “Have him whacked.” Luigi nodded and started to the door. However, as he opened the door, Luigi stated “I’m afraid that there’s a problem with that, bro.” Without even turning around, Luigi pulled out a silenced 9mm and shot Don Mario straight in between the eyes, which seemed to follow the bullet as they rolled back into his head. Luigi’s final words to the now deceased Don were, “I’m afraid that I lied about there not being a rat in the family.”
