She sits there broken in a far off land
As he pulls away and lets go of her hand
Without even a glance he leaves her banned
Banned from his life in the sinking sand
She sits there thinking, what did I do wrong
It is all gone what lasted so long
I don’t want to get through this I don’t want to be strong
It was all so good, how can it be gone
He said he loved her in so many ways
She fills up with tears, they stream down her face
She sits there can’t seem to leave her place
Seconds feel like hours, hours like days
People stare as they walk right by
But the tears keep on falling, there’s nowhere to hide
She wants to leave but to the bench she’s tied
And his non-presence sits right by her side
Suddenly someone takes a hold of her hand
And pulls her out of the sinking sand
He comforts his daughter this wonderful man
And shows her home from this far off land
