Our identity, what is it, really? Is it our name, our given identity? Is it what we have done? Unfortunately, at this stage in human development, identity is no longer defined by one’s self. What you do, what you say, how you say it, how other people see you, that is what you would think of as an identity. However, identity should have a deeper meaning. What it should be, but is not, is what you define yourself as. How you see yourself should be your identity. This is a truth which should be universally known, but, unfortunately, is not. You are bound by the definition bestowed upon you by society and its followers. No longer are we defined or identified by who we are, or how we feel, but now we are stuck with what others see us as.
