So! Today is another wonderful day. It's just begun, my friends! Just begun!
Yesterday, I was 20 minutes late to work because I was not adequately prepared with freezing temperatures combined with 4-10 inches of snow. HURRAY! I didn't have any sort of ice scraper, so I had to use my arms and legs to get the snow and ice off of my car.
Today, I had lots of fun again! Hurrayx2! I get to work, I wasn't late, but right on time! HURRAY!
Wait...
What's this? My car won't turn off? What the hell? WHAT THE ********!??!!? Turn off you b*****d! Yes, I moved the key past ACC (Which is normally where the engine turns off) and then to the off position. It did nothing. The key cannot be removed. I sat there for five minutes trying to figure out what the hell is wrong and why it was happening to me, and then I went into work, where I explained the situation to my boss.
So, I called Oldsmobile, talked to them. They said "Diconnect the positive battery cable. It's probably an ignition problem". Thanks for the help, geniuses. So, I leave work to go get some tools to fix the problem with the help of my dad. I come back to work (Mind you, the entire time I'm coatless as I intended to spend my time in doors. I'll give you an idea of how cold it is here right now. So cold that the snot freezes inside your nose and you can feel it happen. I s**t you not.), I sit down in my car and pop the hood. For some reason, I decided I might as well try to turn off the car again. For some other insane reason, it actually worked. HAHA. I have no idea, but that time the car went off. Maybe it was FROZEN and I left it on so long that it was now functional. I don't know. I still don't right now, and I'm afraid to use the car to find out. So! Looks like I'll be taking it to the shop later, for more than one reason. It also needs an alignment, rotation, oil change and now some sort of ignition check.
HURRAY! I'll be calling the mechanic today.
