Play-practice for the King And I started in October and begins after school everyday.
The practices start getting longer and longer and I find myself going home very late.
You see, being the nice person I am, I have decided to take on the responsibility of taking Jessica Kumar home because she comes from a strict family that does not let her walk home or let her out late when it gets a bit dark.
However, since I myself do not have a ride, I have to walk her home and she has to tell her parents that my parents drove her home.
Due to this, she gets home around 7pm and I get home around 7:45pm.
And since i get home later than her, I hardly have time to finish my homework and it would be easier if I didn't have to stress over getting her home on time and actually getting out of my way and bringing her to her house. (which is farther from my house than the school is.)
Sometimes, I would call my family members but they are usually too busy or can't be bothered to drive us.
What pisses me off, is that her family is highly capable of driving her, but she doesnt wanna call them because either they do not want her to be in the play, or because she thinks she would rather bother someone elses family rather than her own.
I get yelled a lot by my family for helping Kumar. And so, as punishment, they refuse to help me out. All they tell me is to tell her that I cannot walk her home anymore.
But when I told her, she gives me the guilt trip and then says "It's okay, you dont have to walk me home. I'll just walk alone."
And the way she says it is like if I say 'okay. I wont walk you home' she will hate me for the rest of her life and speak bad of me.
She's purposely making me feel guilty, although she knows that I am having a difficult time walking her home due to my family, homework and time.
So what am I supposed to say?
Alas, I'm stuck.
My friend is using me. My family yells at me.
And if I tell her to screw herself and let me make my life easier by not walking her home, she'll freakin never talk to me again.
Which is a bad mistake, cuz I rather not get on the bad side of her other friends.
I wish I wasn't such a nice person.

She could do it by herself. It's not your responcibility.
Just tell her that it is cutting into your homework and sleep time, and that school is important to you. She will understand.
If not, then she isn't a very good friend, is she?
Besides, her family could drive her home if they wanted to. And if not, let her walk home alone. rolleyes You do it. She has two legs.
Don't let her use you.
And you won't have this problem much longer. Doesn't the play end in like a week? Then you will be FREEEE! ^__^
