More on life...
Well, it's official. No one has any idea what the ******** they are talking about these days! It's honestly quite annoying. I don't have any problems with anyone challenging my politcal views (I'm sort of Conservative, but you can bite me if you've got a problem with that.) and my mum shares them. She runs a conservative news blog, and she has all these idiot kids making ad hominem attacks on her, (go look it up on answers.com) they're calling her s**t like "facist" and "neo-nazi" and they're automatically groupign her with all the crazy tight-a** right wingers, which I know for a fact ain't my mum. She's not against Gay Marriage, she's against the Drug War and lot's of stuff that doesn't fit with any of what they're saying to her. And what's more, is that they're deluded enough to think that they've actually started a "serious debate" with their personal attacks. If you're starting a debate you can't go dragging personal stuff into it, it should be a bout the issues. Now I know that who ever is reading this will think that my argument isn't valid for some bullshit reason such as my grammar or spelling being incorrect at some point, or they'll just call me a sheep and be on their merry way. Well guess what? I'm not the sheep God Damn it! Everyone my age is anti-Bush, anti-war, pro-socialism, I'm conservative (ish) so I'm not conforming. I've seen some Protest Warrior vids on YouTube where they go up to protesters and ask them to validate their signs. These people who are supposedly for "peace" usually resort to ad hominems and physical violence. And if they actually talk with the other person, they are entirely unable to validate their point. THEY are the sheep, they have no clue what they really believe in! They're just doing what's popular, and it's ******** annoying as s**t....
On something other than politics, everyone seems to lump "emo's" with "goths" when it should be pretty clear that they aren't necasarilly the same thing! It's just like my mum said; "In our day they were called punks and basket cases. And alot of basket cases were punks, but it didn't mean all punks were basket cases." so then what's with everyone assuming that just 'cause you listen to heavy metal and wear a little black, alot that you cut yourself and fall asleep crying? It's all these goddamn stereotypes that are killing the USA.
Then you have this woman in Georgia or wherever who's trying to ban Harry Potter, saying that it encourages school shootings or whatever. Where the hell did this woman get that idea? Do you want to know what's really causing these shootings? (or at least the ones perpetrated by students) The automatic self-esteem system that's been implemented. "Everyone's the same, you're jsut as good as the person next to you!" so then you have these kids, who aren't bad, but they see others around them (most likely) getting better grades, and they're sitting in their desk thinking "But I'm just as good as they are! Why are they getting better grades?"which is actually Envy, but that's a whole different subject...So they start to get angry and eventually, as is bound to happen esp. if the student has a bad family life as is so common in the students who perpetrate these shootings, they snap! Aaargh! It's just truly annoying....Well, I think I've been ranting quite long enough, and I'll stop before I cause your ears to bleed, but just think of this, while you sit at your PC drinking you cola or coffee or whatever,
Self-Esteem should come from
knowing you've done something good, not someone
telling you that you've done something good.
