Kikaider. The whole concept of a robot being given a conscious circuit is ludicrous, but this author really made it work! I recently purchased this anime at Otakon this past august, and I'm loving the way that the story intertwines an old loved fairy tale. It takes a great mind to put Pinocchio and Robots into the same story. Ichiro is the hottness, and yes...I cried when he died....and my least favorite character is Mitsuho. Professor Gill rocks my heart out with that damn flute of his, but Jiro brings it back when he rides that motorcycle. heart
