Bio:
Due to his mother's previous habits Abel was born a few weeks early and was put into the custody of Abel Macintosh, whom he later calls Grandpa, however he was healthy (due to his father's blood) and after rehab and a grace period his mother, Ariah, regained custody. Ariah was a dotting mother and Abel never felt the absence of his father. He enjoyed living on the estate.
When Able was four, something changed and he quickly realized he was different from everyone else around him. Three months after figuring out he had powers he told his mom. While his mother always tried to celebrate his gifts he quickly learned it wasn't as good as she said it was. Grandpa still read him stories but some of the staff shied away from him. Abel found out he liked animals more than people when a maid yelled at him, put him in time out and called his mom for showing her his powers; when he showed a cat at the manor his powers the cat simply meow'ed politely and rubbed up against his legs to be pet.
When he five there was an incident at school. His mother came to the school that morning to discuss it with his teacher and principle and by the afternoon she had taken him out of the school. The next week she began to home school him.
Ariah get another job at Riker's Estate which cartered to people like Abel. Just after Abel's ninth birthday they moved and started a new life. He was upset about leaving but quickly found he enjoyed the estate. It was the first time he had felt like those around him and the first time he had real friends.
Two years later, Ariah has a second son, Hermes. He's eleven years younger than Abel and not nearly as shy. Abel takes quickly to being a big brother and is constantly looking out for his brother even if the age difference can be challenging. While a teenager he struggles with his sexuality and stressed induced depression. He comes out as gay to his mother just before his seventeenth birthday.
Abel starts college early with online classes. By the time he turns nineteen he's ready to start the core classes for his undergraduate degree. He decides to study medicine. Just before he starts his graduate degree he changes majors to a veterinary program. A month later his mother is diagnosis with cancer.
Two months later Abel helps a man he stumbles upon with a bad knife wound. It's the start of his underground clinic that mostly treats criminals and the like. The money he earns from it goes towards his mom's medical expenses and a savings account for Hermes. He works out of a rundown storage facility and stocks it with items stolen both from his work at a local veterinary practice and his school labs.
Personality:
As a Kid
Shy and timid, Abel has learned to be weary and nervous of strangers. He is kindhearted and knows what it's like be lonely so he puts extra effort in including those around him. While he is fearful of his abilities he is amaze by others' gifts. He has his mother's curiosity and is very intelligent; picking things up quickly.
As a Teenager
He hasn't grown out of his shyness and has in turn embraced it some. He doesn't mind being alone and while he's okay in a large group he thrives in a small group of friends. He grows as a big brother finding himself in the process. He struggles with his sexuality. Kind but overwhelmed, Abel has bouts of stress induced depression.
As an Adult
Abel is rather shy and timid even though he is confident in his skills. He's a diligent worker and isn't easily distracted from his goals making him a favorite of his teachers and boss. However, he has a strong sense of curiosity that has on more than one occasion gotten him in trouble. His favorite thing in the world to do is laugh as well as making other laugh. Add that to the fact that he's a good listener and you get someone that come off as a trustworthy guy. And while that is relatively true, Abel has a tendency to use the trust of others to his advantage.

He has a locket he has worn since childhood. Growing up one side had his mother and the other had Grandpa. Once Hermes was born the picture of his mother was replaced with one that had her and Hermes in it.
He got his ear pierced when he's fifteen.
He has a tattoo on his collarbone of the words "Oh Captain My Captain" that he got when he turned twenty. He wants another one but isn't sure what it get.
His birthday is April 30th.
