Unfeeling 'humanity'
Ruinous city lights corrupt our thoughts and cloud our memories
Washing over us false comfort and promise of excitement
Can even the young remember being children?
Did they have any chance at all?
If only I could keep my face to the sunlight
and turn away from shadow
but darkness, cold and conceling envelopes me
suffocating fumes of silence
spinning, turning, blowing over me in a dance of black nothingness
who knew what piercing pain was held by nothing
Threatening to constrict what light I once knew,
the nothing places it's intoxicatingly dense hand upon my throat.
You want to give in but last courages of life well up inside you.
You pull away and see a glint of sun...
Yet you may never see it's full glory. I only live to dream of what sunlight may feel like in my eyes.
I live to dream of living
I dream to see one thing
I long to see light and life alongside me
to take me, to include me in it's vision
Can everyone else see it as I'm struggling?
Can anyone indeed see me falter and strive?
Can they see that I'm in pain?
No one seems to care.
They just stand by and dumbly stare.
Love should be a free thing given to those deserving...
Do I not deserve this?
Why do you turn away from me in disgust?
How could I try any harder to live?
Trapped in the realm of sleep
seen as a lazy simpleton
If I just tried harder...
Isn't that what strove me to this stupor of sorts?
You are fools and satists bathing in my stuggles of dispair,
as if there had been no harm done...
